Thanks for the review I'm sure its accurate however... My only guess is that its region dependent, here in B.C. it works amazing. Never used it in extreme mosquito areas though just where you would get 20 bites an hour sort of thing and with it running I get zero.

This review should have a million likes. You gave this device every chance to catch the "millions" of mosquitos it claims to catch. I saw the ad on Facebook and immediately came to KZfaq to verify. As most Facebook ads I've seen, it's a pure scam. Thanks for braving some of the worst mosquito conditions I've ever seen to bring us this review!

We bought one just because it was fairly cheap and we needed to try something. We'd had one backpacking trip cut short due to the pesky little blood suckers - we were hoping this would help us out on the next one. I'd seen this review prior to the purchase so I was aware it might not do anything. To our surprise it actually helped a great deal for us. It didn't give us the 15' dome of protection - it gave us about 5-6' of protection. Just enough space for us to relax in. I only ended up with three bits... Could be that I didn't use any deodorant that day and "my" scent just naturally repelled the skeeters?!?!? lol

Complete waste of money and a sketchy company! I placed an order thru Facebook and immediately tried to cancel my order. Huh. They said the order was already in the "shipping department", even though I ordered on a Saturday afternoon and they are located in Australia. I ended up with 4 of these stupid things and now I am trying to return for a refund. Save your money! I wish I would have found this review before pressing the "submit order" button!

Same happened to me! They actually doubled my order and added some warranty at an additional cost and are refusing to deal with it. They have a money back guarantee on their website but will not honor it. Beware of doing business with this company.

I hear that there's about 3 million lakes in Canada. If you camped on the shore of one every night of the year, it'd still take 8,000 years to visit them all. Hmm .... just a thought ..... And if that'd only be practical to do for about 4 months each year, then it'd take 25,000 years. Oh dear, there's another thought .....

Thanks a bunch for the Island Camp Out trip. Been a long time and I just love these types of trips. There's something about taking a boat somewhere to camp that I just love. There's not a lot of lakes around here with islands but I'm going to find one and do a trip like this myself. Ya know I still like the Biscuits and Gravy much better than the egg dishes that MH has. And the two person meals were really just one person meals as far as I was concerned.

I’m not discounting the review, it’s well done, but I have been using a thermacell portable unit for 20+ years in the swamps and the barrier islands or South GA and I’ve had great results. When mosquitoes are really active I sometimes have 2 units running and again, I’ve had fantastic results. The only place I’ve ever been that the mosquitoes were not affected by the thermacell was Alaska…too many and too big up there!

I just don't get it. I'm sure even the litterbugs enjoy the natural and wild spaces to relax. So how come they can't bring out what they brought in? I also think we need to control this provinces population growth before it's too late and our provinces beauty is lost due to development and litter. Every province should be able to control immigration. It should not be in the hands of the federal govt as everyone who comes to live in Canada seems to want to live in Ontario. I have had enough of population growth.
