I took Cathay Pacific instead of Taiwan flights because they all take off in the middle of the night. I don’t like red-eye flights, but the service quality in Taiwan is really good.

I’ve traveled a lot to Asia and am not a fan of United! That’s not even on my top-five list!😅

As local dmv i do choose ANA and KAL to my asia trip. If im looking for cheaper alternative then i would fly to LAX or SFO via Alaska prices are competitive than non-stop from Dulles. United did had flight from IAD Tokyo then Seoul Gimpo back then MD10 which is reasonable.

Will be in United Polaris on UA801 from LAX-HKG-BKK in 2 weeks. I'll be in 9A as well, thanks for the video! I love the lie flat seats and United's entertainment system. Food I grab in HKG Centurion Lounge or SilverKris, both are excellent IMHO.

I just don't see why anyone would choose United for this flight (over Cathay Pacific, for example). The meal service looks horrible, and I do not agree with AVGEEKS who say that the ice cream sundae makes up for all of the other inadequacies.

I often choose ANA to fly from Tokyo to the US because as you’ve mentioned, the price is almost the same, and ANA provide a much better service. I’m glad to hear that the crew were nice but the service was still something to mention about. Can’t believe they served those still-frozen prawns to you…

Looks like you’re in a sub level Qatar Airways economy class service (which doesn’t exist) with your “United ‘whatever’ class” service… very bad service for the USA airline.

Typical US airline trash customer service. Looking at your video just proves why the Asian airlines are so far superior in class, comfort, service and style…

WOW, I had a similar thing happen. United told the 11 people who showed up the captain called in sick - right. Blame it on the crew and not yourself. Mine was a little different, it was Beijing to Washington Dulles.

Besides their delay, I always enjoyed flying with them. Did MIA-CMN and JFK-CMN. The last flight once everyone boarded it took off 15 min early 😅

I flew Asiana business class from Seoul to LAX on April 26th. The meal was amazing, a six course tasting menu with vintage champagne, Bordeaux red wine and Remi Martin XO. Just didn’t have all you can eat caviar as on Emeritus! 😂

I’ve always had a stellar experience on EVA. We also flew on them from ORD as you did. The lounge situation in T5 is shameful. I like ORD in general but their international terminal for non-US carriers leaves much to be desired.

Superb video, thank you. I stayed there two weeks ago, on the 3rd floor in a king bed room with exactly the same decor and furnishings. I am saving your video for my own memory as it is so much better than my own photos. I would rate the hotel 5 stars for the location, it simply can not be better, but only 3 stars as a hotel. It is rather dated, badly in need of a renovation, with worn furnishings and fittings. I had breakfast in the basement restaurant as shown in the video, and it felt like a factory canteen.

Very informative and very well photographed. I did recognize certain rooms from the film. I was surprised at how "Western" the rooms and furniture were.

Remembered Changchun was the Capitol of Manchukuo . The building was Beautiful had many Elegant Rooms for the King . It lost attracted to the Harbin, had many tourism 🎉🎉 .
