No mention of Tomasso Bussola? TB is right up with Dal Forno in complexity, age worthiness, and overall quality. Many say he has surpased Quintarelli since Beppi passed away.

I have been fortunate to have tried quiet a few Leroy wines and the don’t disappoint! From Bourgogne rouge and up. Never had the opportunity to try the Musigny though. One of the most memorable wine I had the pleasure to drink was a 53 La Romanée from Leroy… hope I get to try domaine Romanée Conti, Romanée Conti one day.

I have tried quiet a few Penfolds Grange and never like any of them that much. Penfolds St Henri is much cheaper and gives more enjoyment. Have to agree with previous post that Astralis beats Grange any day in my opinion also. I was fortunate to have a tasting with Alex at Clarendon Hills, his Roma Grenache is also worth seeking out as well as the new Sandown Shiraz (fruit is sourced from ex Grange grower supplier cost less than $100 USD) I would have included the Bass Phillip reserve Pinot Noir in your list! Do try is Premium Pinot which is actually decent value for its price. As for the reserve price I would steer towards Burgundy. He has sold the winery not sure about the new wine maker. For those who is seeking good Barossa Shiraz I would not spend the money on Laird either. Greenock Creek makes better and cheaper Shiraz. I could go on with other recommendations lol Cheers

Jupiter honestly is a bit of a marketing move, Mouchão ou Pêra Manca have much more prestige, but it’s good to see there is search for it nonetheless. Noval Nacional 1963 is also a very high end Port wine. Thank you for talking about Portuguese wines! PS: Barca Velha is from Ferreirinha, not Ferrarinha.

Hello Michele… perhaps you could add pic of the wine bottles you recommend (or stream their names at bottom of screen) … because it is sometimes difficult to grasp the names. Demo’ing bottles or their pic may also add a touch of entertainment/sophistication.
