I got both the +1 dmg and +1 hp when retaliate. When I got a temp defense buff, I would just go to those crawly hand traps and let them hit me. You gain HP basically at that point, and your damage increases, and you can stand there for the duration of the buff. It's almost a patchable exploit but idk, still didn't make my first win.

This build except with Dionysus on the special, Aphrodite on the dash, and Ares doom on the attack can be absolutely insane. If you get both duo boons from Ares and Aphrodite it is crazy….. but you have to dash in to apply the weak curse.

Such a fun game and franchise. Wish you played this for longer with more of your indepth videos too, like possible tierlists or how to approach soul shop upgrades and castle upgrades. Game has been updated immensely since the early access days, heck even since 1.0 release, and it feels complete now, with an insane amount of available content. In fact the content is so huge that it shocks me. Sad part is everyone played this before it was a complete game. Definitely missing more recent videos on this, on the last version !!!

I thought I might be the only person who couldn't execute on this plan, doing b slightly worse the first time I tried than my previous best, where lightning rod and other passives were able to get me through thesus and the first stage of (redacted), but on the second attempt (88th or 89th overall), I wax able to combine the builds and win on a sliver of health.

I like where they're going with the torches, but I wish they'd add a small stagger to the special, even is it's limited to one hit per enemy or even one enemy.

just did 24f moros today to finish out testaments- torches have fast attacks but the explosion base damage is huge. i find a lot of success using some combination of clean candle (to give the omega special and omega attacks more overlap for more big explosions) and a good mana regen (born gain is prob the best but quite a few work), then you setup the omega special and point attack at whatever you want to die. it does CRAZY damage with the huntress arcana as for some reason the giant omega attack explosions count as normal attacks and therefore get the 50% boost.

That build with athena duo would go crazy I'll definitely try it

channeling your omega special then spamming the attacks is how you get use of the crazy blast damage. it is a close range monster when used that way. I do hope they make the attacks sort of stick around enemies or slightly track them so that there is a different way to utilize the blasts

i've definitely been struggling with the torches... i think having the special spiral around melinoë is really disorienting - i end up just getting hit a lot

Melinoe is so much nicer to Homer than Zag is. Zag just says "Shut up, old man!"

I know some people freaked out when they changed Thanatos, but I like it and think it adds more versatility while keeping the crit aspect. Have stepped away from Hades 2 this week to prepare for Shadow of the Erdtree, though, so watching your vids may be all the Hades I'll experience for a while.

Yeah, the damage from this aspect's omega is underwhelming. Daybreaker could be counted seperately but it didn't make it to the list so it'd wouldn't be much better. Perhaps it's the buffed attack of Ygnium that makes it feel so much stronger.

Not sure if you figure this out later in the video, but the daybreaker copies your specials, so if you spam special Mel throws the special but the daybreaker does too. Same for omega special. Basically it doubles all your specials

I would agree on everything except Aspect of Hades. That aspect only needs a single hammer to overcomer its biggest downside, and then it becomes incredibly powerful with dash builds.

Having such slow attacks that only deal 5 damage each is pretty rough. Did the devs overestimate how strong being able to move while attacking would be?
