Very interesting topic, unfortunately I guess some brothers got other things to attend to, so they want to end the lecture I believe they are the key holder of the mosque or room where the lecture was given. You know shaykh You can do the same lecture in your own house that way you can get a bigger Audience who really want to fully understand our religion in sha Allah. All you need is camera, a microphone 🎤 then upload it the KZfaq. I guess you already know that.

Muhammed's neighbours already had laws protecting girls from harm or even death through intercourse/pregnancy/delivery as well as from coercion/statutory rape. . The Persians and Bzantine Egypt and Syria already knew it was morally wrong. @t Minor Marriage in Early Islamic Law, Carolyn G. Baugh, LEIDEN | BOSTON, 2017 "Although investigation into Sasanian-era (224-651 CE) child marriage prac-tices unearths scant information, the age of twelve is again important for girls. According to the Avesta, the age of majority was clearly set at fifteen for boys as well as girls; Middle Persian civil law allowed marriage at age nine, provided that consummation wait until age twelve.[24]" "Augustus’ law of twelve as the minimum age for girls stayed “on the books” until as late as 530.[21] Byzantine law required that a girl attain the age of thirteen before contract- ing a marriage. Whether she would have consented to the marriage or not prior to this age is deemed immaterial as she would have no legally viable consent to give.[22] All parties to a marriage needed to issue consent, including the groom, the bride, and her parents. In cases where a girl consented to intercourse prior to marriage it was assumed that she consented to the marriage itself and the families would then arrange it. However, if that intercourse occurred prior to the age of thirteen, the groom would meet with the law’s most serious punish-ments due to the girl’s assumed legal inability to consent.[23]"

@@user-kt3uv7nf7i All 3 hours and 26 minutes of it? Nope. I listened to parts by skipping sections and trying to look for a summary at the end. But at 3h 19mins in the part about consummation made me post. Did I miss a major point? I think the brill-leiden book on early islami law is a good source and can help expand his view.

1:06:01 CALCULATION Asma passed away 73 years after the migration at 100 years old (Confirmed) So she was born 27 years before the migration She was 10 years older than aisha (Confirmed) Which means Aisha was born 17 years before migration Got married 1 or 2 years after the migration to the prophet which means she was 19

31:10 According to ibn Hisham(born. 833), an editer of the work of ibn Ishaq(born. 704), and Al Tabari(born. 839) say Aisha was born before Prophethood in the age of Jahilliyah(ignorance) which means that if the marriage was consummated in the 2nd year AH Aisha must have been at least 16. 34:00 amongst the first Muslims(within the first 3 three of Prophethood and before Umar had converted) was Asma and Aisha. 42:00 Bukhari(born. 810) says Aisha was at the battle of Badr presumably at the age of 9, which is contradictory as according to another Hadith the Prophet would not allow people below 15 to the battlefield. 44:45 Bukhari says Aisha participated in the battle of Uhud presumably at the age of 10 by tending to the wounds of the injured. Again contradictory for the same aforementioned reason. 46:00 The prophet rejected boys including ibn Umar who were aged around 14 from engaging in battle at Uhud. 47:10 This means that Aisha must have been a minimum of 15 at Badr/Uhud. 48:00 Bukhari narrates that Aisha was a jariyah(girl nearing maturity) when Allah revealed a Makki ayah of Surah Al-Qamar within 5 years of Prophethood, which supports ibn Hisham and Al Tabari's claim that Aisha was born before Jahilliyah. 57:00 contradiction between Bukhari and Muslim's(born. 817) narration. In Bukhari Aisha says 6 and 9. In Muslim 7 and 10. 1:04:00 Asma the sister of Aisha was 10 years older than Aisha. Asma passed away in 73 AH around the age of 100, which means she was born around 27 BH, which in turn means that Aisha was born 17 BH and if the marriage was consummated in 2 AH, then Aisha was around 19 years old. This also supports the aforementioned narration in Bukhari of Aisha being a jariyah, as she would be 5 at the start of Prophethood and 10 at the revelation of the Ayah in Surah al-Qamar. 1:07:30 according to Abu Nu'aym al-Isfahani(born. 947) the sister of Aisha was born 27 years before the prophethood(583) rather than 27 years before the migration(595) as mentioned above. This is unlikely as it would would that Abu Bakr her father(born. 573) conceived her mother when he was 10 years old. 1:25:40 According to Ibn Hajar Al-Asqalani(born. 1372) Fatima was 5 years younger than Aisha, and Fatima was born around the time that the Kaaba was being repaired about 5 years before prophethood. This means that Aisha would have been born around the time of Prophethood and not a few years prior which contradicts some of the aforementioned sources and places her at 14/15 at the consummation of the marriage and 11/12 at the engagement. However this also contradicts as it does not make sense for the to Prophet marry Aisha to help look after the house when Aisha would have been younger than his youngest daughter Fatima. 1:28:50 Usama ibn Zayd was 19 years old at the death of the Prophet in 632 meaning he was born around 612. There are hadith in Musnad Imam Ahmad(born. 780) and Tirmidhi(born. 824) were Aisha is reported as cleaning the face of a boy Usama, which would mean that Aisha was older and therefore born at least a few years before Usama. Also in another Tirmidhi report Aisha is ordered to look after Usama. 1:32:15 Aisha was already engaged to a pagan Jubayr ibn Mut'im for some number of years which was later cancelled. This would indicate that this initial engagement happened before Prophethood or the very very early years of prophethood. The engagement was supposedly cancelled as the mother of Jubayr feared Aisha would convert him to Islam. 1:36:00 according to Sunni sources Umm Kulthum bint Ali(born. 630) married Umar at the age of 8, whereas Shia sources contest its historicity and even reject it. 1:41:30 the Event of Ifk in 626(4/5 AH) where Aisha was accused of adultery according to Sunnis(according to Shias refers to Maria al-Qibtiyya). Aisha's behaviour/mannerisms are reflective of a mentality mature and developed person. 1:47:20 Summary Session on the Age of Aisha, there can be no exact certainty on this matter, and this is not unexpected as there isn't even certainty on other dates such as the year of birth of the prophet, the age of the prophet at the time of marriage to Khadijah and vice versa. Also whether Isa and Mahdi will meet.

Salamu alaikum brother, as a Muslim ML what is your thought on the uighurs in China. I'm not sure what to think.
@user-kt3uv7nf7i
@user-kt3uv7nf7i 4 жыл бұрын
Wa alaikum as-salaam brother, from my current understanding, I think that China doesn't have an anti-Muslim policy in general but that there is a definite crackdown on Salafism in general and the Xinjiang province in particular. Across China, Arab-style mosques have been torn down and Uighur-style mosques have been built in their place. The Hui Muslims have had a religious revival, with more mosque attendance, increased participation in outward forms of the religion like wearing the hijab and beard, and overall increased religious participation. However, in the Xinjiang province, there has been a crackdown on the hijab and increased monitoring of mosques as well as other abuses. It is true that there is a problem of Wahabi terrorism in that province which is what has sparked the action against the province. To me, the biggest abuses are the excessive anti-Arab sentiments that have caused the government to force many mosques to recite the Azan in local languages and the attacks on the hijab as an "Arab" cultural import. Certainly, China has done bad things to the Uighur province, however, it is no genocide. Moreover, no Muslim country has condemned China, only the West, which is highly suspicious.

Just say directly that Islam accept or supports Homosexuality.

The Shaykh says at 1:45: "In terms of homosexuality, I don't know of anyone who does not know that in all of the religions it [homosexuality] is a prohibited action. The main question was in terms of the punishment of the homosexualism in the Ḥanafī madhab." He goes on to show that according to Imām Abū Ḥanīfa, homosexuality is a taʿzīr punishment, not a ḥadd punishment. This taʿzīr punishment has a maximum of I believe 38 lashings with a standard of evidence of four witnesses to penetration.
