Amazing Work, truly awesome. The 3d effect is very real. I just want to know why you decided to change the direction of the stripe stencils. On the upper and lower receivers it is going up and to the right, but on the hand guard you went up and to the left. Also, what did the rifle look like fully assembled? Did you do the barrel and buttstock too?

I took a used recovery strap, cut a piece off and duct taped it to the drum. Once you get a couple of wraps its tight enough to not slip. Works great and super simple.

If you use an airbrush on the stencil portion you can get solid saturation without leaving a hard edge,

Nicely done! Closer to Anchorage or Fairbanks? And what are your thoughts on cerakoting a base color down like white, using Krylon over that and finishing w/ cerakote clear? And lastly, do you have an opinion on cerakote micro slic?

How long did the strap last. Do you think it will hold up to an 8 hour day plowing sidewalks ?
@alaskanmancave5301
@alaskanmancave5301 7 ай бұрын
Aa long as you dont raise it up too high it will last. I used it for my driveway for 2 years. My kids would break it cause they would raise it up past the plow's stops. I would just tie it back on till I ran out of strap. I never broke it once myself. I would still recommend it several years later.

Looking for ghosting for your weap can be difficult. I saw this and added it for one reason. I wanted mine to look (regional) yet, look like a train wreck (don't know what your looking/seeing...at). Take James Deans car (after) then clobber more and rust it...Train wreck.

I just cut off the bad piece of winch rope and reconnected the tow hook to the remaining piece of original rope. Think... You got 50 feet of winch rope! Double knot the rope at the hook connection..
