Nice vid... Thanks... You demonstrated great touch control in all phases of flight... Only comment: You allowed the low RPM warning to activate 3 times solo and 1 time with the instructor on board doing a hover taxi back to the ramp.... In the Army, that wouldn't be a "Pink Slip"/failing ride, but would certainly been a major de-briefing point...
@jackmehoff698 Жыл бұрын
Yeah that instructor may have been a tad quick on sending him on his own, better not be a C model cause I herd that rpm rise a bit too, bust that upper limit and it’s grounded 😉

Wolli, How many hours did you have before your solo? Your hover was fantastic! And that is the worst task to do to try & fly any helicoter. Flying them is easy, the hover is the most tasking of all. I did 12 years of flying RC helicopters, then finally did a "Intro flight" on a real Schweizer 300 CBI & I loved it! Go check out my video in my video chanall, search for my screen name. The video is a little bit tilted to one side, because I used the right door window to attach the camera to. You will only be seeing me hover at this time, sorry.

GENIAL!!! ;-)

@wolli11 жыл бұрын
yes RPM below 442 ;) it becomes constant beep at 390RPM if you go below that you might experience fatal Blade stall =)

Stating the limits is one thing, staying within them is another 😉

hard to say "generally" most flight schools have a introduction flight program where you can fly .5 at reduced rates, prices vary between flight school and countries. If you are in the US you have to expect anything between 200 and 400 dollar an hour for the same aircarft...
@SteeleReggie11 жыл бұрын
Bristow sure has come a long way...and now we cannot even take our hands off of the collective until the blades have stopped spinning....even with the frictions on...lol

It's only 14 because I'm doing the integrated course that Bristow offers, meaning I will be issued the european and the american licence at the end, the european license requires you to pass 14 written exams in different very theoretical subjects, while the FAA license is a lot more practical and therefore less stressfull.... I can't tell you to muc about the FAA site of Bristows groundschool, all I know is that the passmarks must be at least 70% for FAA.

Its about 50 miles north of Melbourne in Titusville and calles Bristow Academy. Yes it's insanely expensive ;)
