My wife and I watched your complete video of your wonderful garden. Enjoyed every minute and you are a great host. Very well done and we picked up some good ideas to use in our garden here in Terrebonne, Quebec (north of Montreal). We look forward to seeing more of your work and “Merci beaucoup”. Richard and Mei

I look forward to your tomato tastings, this was great to watch in January as I'm looking out at a cold wet PNW landscape. If you are looking for a reliable black tomato I highly recommend Black Krim. Never fails to produce, great flavor and long season. This year some of my standouts were Ananas Noir (Black Pineapple), the always reliable Pruden's Purple (a less finicky, earlier, great tasting and more productive Brandywine type of tomato. Bloody Butcher is my favorite early tomato at 55 days, great taste, usually the earliest tomato and the longest season, still going strong in late September and into October. Another long time favorite is Pink Berkley Tie Dye, pretty early, great taste, very productive and so beautiful. Still looking for the elusive perfect Bi-color tomato to replace Pineapple. Still my favorite of all time but Pineapple just needs too many days and produces too few tomatoes to include in my garden. In 2024 I am trying a few new tomatoes, Hillbilly (bi-color), Virginia Sweets (bi-color) Stump of the World and the winner of my garden groups tomato tasting which was a huge surprise to me, Moreton's Hybrid. A lovely tomato, the first hybrid I have ever tasted that I really liked. I guess the seeds were lost and Harris seeds brought them back. I paid $5 for the seeds and another $5 for shipping so I must have really liked them:) I garden in Washington, our seasons are really changing the last few years. We used to have shorter seasons but our summers have become hotter and longer so I am able to grow some of the longer season tomatoes. I really enjoy watching what you are doing with your two gardens and love the tomato tastings:)

Did you use saved seeds from Plum Regal or did you use original seeds? They are a hybrid. Very strange....I've been growing Plum Regal for 4 years now and yields are crazy, buckets upon buckets full, 75 days or less, and they all ripen before its too cool up here in Minnesota Zone 4b.

I was watching your 2023 taste test video today and jumped to this one in the middle to see everything you planted this year. I copied this info about Heirloom Marriage tomatoes from Totally Tomatoes. I buy a bunch of seeds from them, mostly tomatoes and peppers and I am ALWAYS happy with their seeds. "Heirloom Marriage Hybrid varieties are produced from modern day unions of heirloom parents, providing hybrid vigor while maintaining the virtue and integrity of their old-fashioned beginnings. They were bred for improved yield, earlier maturity, and fewer blemishes while maintaining old-time flavor."

Here’s my take on how this is working in my area!… todays prices 2023 is through roof!!!. The 5-6 people I know that has done this have become a (1 Time) customer!!. They get back about 50% in ground up hamburger and no more that a dozen or so 🥩 steaks!… this is DEFINITELY not for me!!!🤣… I just buy a little hamburger when I need it… and I’ll buy TONS of filet which I prefer, nice and fresh!!!. When you buy it like this, you are FORCED to eat what is there whether you want it or not!!!. Anyways… to everyone their own!!!. Great video! Good luck with your beef!☝️😃

Those are growing beautifully for having such a late start! We're growing hot paprika peppers (leutschauer variety) and black Hungarian peppers this year. We had a very late start (May) , but both have short harvest seasons and the paprikas have really taken off. To process, we usually cut them in half and dehydrate them for spicy peppers (we grew Carolina reapers for my husband last year) and load them into an old spice grinder. We had frozen a bunch of habaneros and seranos whole, but we just didn't use them in that form. If we have extras this year, I thought I'm going to chop them up finely and freeze them in ice cube trays to throw in as we cook throughout the year!

@@SharonsHomeGarden I am thinking that also. Unfortunately my "black cherry" tomatoes are the size of beefsteaks. So far none have ripened. all have cracked, webbed and hard as a rock even at 4" fruits. Due to those issues I haven't been able to try any yet. "Sungolds" are huge and pumpkin shaped. I haven't tasted them yet either. Maybe they will turn out to be great. A lot of my plants are only about 2ft tall as well. Thank goodness I have sweet 100, Barry's crazy cherries that are taking over my yard. I hope you get something you can use also. :)
