People didn't realize just how good a singer he was

Jim Nabors had a outstanding set of pipes. He could sing in all languages. He was gived such a beautiful instrument, his voice. I still have many of his early records, that were recorded on vinyl. He was truly "blessed" with that voice. He will be truly missed by many. A very talented individual, that sing, dance, comedy, anything that he put his mind to, accomplishments. Well done, Mr Nabors.

Jim's singing probably surprised a lot of people since he had such a thick drawl.

The only down side was how seldom they had Gomer sing. And Rafe Hollister--could you imagine having those two do a lot more music together? But they only rarely had Gomer sing and Rafe just a time or two.

A lovely performance of this most breathtaking love song from the Civil War. The actual title is "He's Gone Away." For many, many years, it has been a beloved favorite of mine & will never be forgotten.🙏♥️🇺🇲✌

Jim Nabors really was a handsome guy; he could just play goofy so well. And his singing voice was superb.

Tragically, the song is about slave families being torn apart. 😕
@garygary56613 жыл бұрын
No it isn't. It's an old folk song from the mountains of North Carolina. Its original title is He's gone away. It's about the civil war. Idiot.

I just can't get over everything Jim Nabors was! He was a caring, gentle honest soul just like the character he played, and man, what a voice! If there were more people in the world like him, what a more loving and peaceful world this would be! Miss you Gom!
