Although Nick's roller setup makes it redundant when shipping back as normal, it comes into play when you break your pole in to two i.e. if you fishing down the margins or a short pole line, allowing you to keep the bigger sections safe as you do so.

Wonderful footage, wonderful fish, wonderful tackle you are using, but if you stick your fingers under the Gill plate the fish will probably die

Thanks for this, only got my first pole at 70 and it’s a big learning curve. I will be honest except for one very deep water I have fished all my rigs are 4-14 and 4-16 as I find no 8 cubes are about the smallest I can fit easily. The deep water rig for 11’ uses 1 ollivette plus 3- no 8s.

The Aryzon 10ft pellet waggler is quite surprisingly good. It is very very light. and has a fair bit of power for its weight.

Caught the barbel bug 3 seasons ago and never looked back. Was mad on the carp sitting behind 3 rods n 3 alarms. Now 1 rod waiting for the tip to whack round . Can't beat it

The most genuinely nice guy you could ever wish to meet. I met Jan when opening a tackle shop in the mid 90s and he was working for Shimano and Fox if I remember rightly. He was such an enormous help with the shop and also with the advice he gave on almost all methods when it came to my own angling.

Really enjoy nick speeds analysis, when he explains it , it seems obvious! I must admit I do most things in a similar order, except having my pole rollers at an angle,(I like to be able to walk round my box) My only problem I do have is using a catapult, as I'm right handed but left handed with a catapult, no matter how much I try I just can't do it,it goes all on my footplate😂 I don't want to use a bump bar to help, as it gets in the way. Cant wait for the next episode, Well done enjoy these👍

It looks a great piece of kit and the review and the video is excellent as usual. However . A flood water barbel rod of 1.75 test or 2.2 at 12 ft will do exactly the same especially a korum neoteric ....a blast from the past but it does the job . This is my view on it . Keep up the great content regards from Gozo/malta .

A good article as ever from AT. I wonder how many people are going to invest over £200 for the PBR rod, reel, braid. Just to bait up. I understand that match competitors will gain an edge, and increase chance of prize money (so return on the investment). But that is a lot of money over above the actual rod, reel etc for real fishing.
