Hi, I have a weird problem with my 84v VESC board with Tronic 250r it was working fine almost for 100 miles and I was quite happy, but then one day when I started riding it, I got a pushback around 10mph from that moment (battery was not overcharged), I didn't change any settings previously, I check all settings and they all looks good. Thanks for the tests! My GTS handles the thermals quite well and have never hit an over temp alert .Riding in the mountains with 90-100 ambient temps and being 200# my motor gets noticeably warmer than my controller or maybe it’s just by the time a get my phone out it has cooled down. My controller will be 160 and motor 180 after a long climb. I have done consistent trail riding were my motor temps are 160-180 through the ride. I don’t think the controller is a bottleneck. For my kinda riding i feel they’re fairly evenly matched.
@surfdado
@surfdado 12 күн бұрын
What you describe sounds exactly what I'd be worried about. Just because you don't get over temp alerts doesn't necessarily mean that you're not in danger territory, considering how unusually high FM has their thermal alerts. Also, it doesn't look like their thermal alerts are distinguishable from normal torque-based haptic feedback. The next few times riding hard trails in hot weather take a look at controller temps shortly before finishing the steep climbs, just to see where your controller is actually at.
