When I was 9 years old, I was obsessed with this game. I loved playing with the Rockies because of Larry Walker. He was the home run king in this game… Years later (2017) I was working at the Mirage in Las Vegas and one evening a high limit slot representative needed my help with a players card which belonged to Larry Walker. Life came around full circle. 😅 Unfortunately I was too busy to go meet him but the memories and nostalgia rushed over me in that moment.

Have you ever seen/heard anything about a different, special-release "Ganbare! Swallows" version of Super Famista 5 made for Yakult Swallows fans? I've seen a version that has a little message about it pop up after the Namco logo at startup, and it doesn't seem like there's a lot of info about it on the English-language internet.

I hadn't heard of this, though I had noticed my box came with stickers for each team to put on your cartridge. On looking it up, this is controlled by a Favorite Team setting in the options menu. This not only changes the startup movie, but also slightly boosts your favorite team's stats, which is pretty wild.

I can not count how many hours I spent playing this game!! Bases Loaded and Tecmo Super Bowl were my childhood. I always liked it when the batter would charge the mound after being beaned. My proudest moment in Bases Loaded was when I hit a homerun with my pitcher

This used to drive me nuts with most baseball videos back then. It never showed the catcher throwing the ball back. The ball just magically reappeared in the pitchers hand

This looks very different usually Pawafest started as Tournament like mode as usual but more into a board game and mini game type of mode like mario party

100%, it's a big change and it seems like most people are disappointed. It's a little better once I realized you don't have to play the minigames 1,000 times unless or until you're trying to collect every character. It makes the board game part a little silly though, skipping past most of the spaces.

Well, you get game over if you lose to the bosses, but you can safely lose the matches that are just to collect a player. It is different that way though, true.

Love this opening! What of my favorites! I plan on buying this game on the PS3. And I just want to know, are there any differences between the PS3 and PS4 versions? I'm just curious and I feel the PS3 version is special for some reason. And I also only have a PS3 and have no plans or any interest on buying a PS4 or PS5. And maybe you could do a video showcasing differences between the versions (and Vita too) on native hardware? That would be great!

I love the early 2010s! I plan on buying this game for the nostalgia and the memories it brings. Plus its selling for pretty cheap too. I played this when I was only a few years old! Can you believe that! I miss that era of Japanese video games! And the opening still holds up to this day, even in 2024! This opening has aged well. Love it! And have you played this game yet! If you were inactive for a minute or so the umpire would knock on the TV screen with a baseball and say "play the game kid!". We thought that was awesome.

They finally changed the planner for my life which used to have its own planner in ps2 eras. In recents games, my life and pennant had the same planner who also worked on ps2 pawapuro's pennant, psy's pennant race and star player while success, pawafes and eikan9 got multiple planners Hopefully this is a sign that my life will get more love in the furure. The new developer already put some solid ground work for 2024 like ability to add custom teams or longer fall camp & off season. Now they only need to fill my life with more unique events and characters and it will be the king of.offline career mode.

@@30-30Club @30-30Club In pawapiro old ps2 games and newest pawapuro (2020 & 2022), you can see Narita (成田/ he seem to be ぶらいあんin 前夜祭) was credited as the main pennant/ my life's planner. He was even credited in prospi (most key pawapuro developer also work in prospi) But in the ps2 games, he was only credited as pennant lead developer while my life has its own lead developer which led to the best my life came from psp/ps2 game (jp fan opnion) which have more events than current my life.
