And the number of clips you broke, 3. LOL, only 1 was really broken, the other 2 you did not know how to take it off properly.

I just want to make a comment. I dump out about 4 gallons a day from my little AC. 6k strength nothing big. Now I was thinking 🤔 😅 there are millions of AC units going on as we speak. Can you imagine the millions of gallons of water is produced every day! I wonder 💭 if that messes up the weather in general. Just a thought.

Sane happened to me. Call honda corp and file a complaint. Even tho the evaporator is not covered, that can offer a goodwill to cover most of the cost. If there is a recall later they will reimburse what you paid. If you paid fully out of pocket you should still contact them to complain. Hopefully they can reimburse the difference. Save your receipts!

My 2018 civic AC broke just before 3yr warranty expired. The compressor was replaced. It was all good but broke again less than a yr later. I took it and was told the condenser, compressor, and evaporator had leaks. They fixed first 2 free under recall extended warranty. The wanted $2800 for evaporator. I told them to kick rocks and i called corp to file a complaint. They covered around 2k of the cost and i would only pay 1k. They said if theres a recall later for evaporator they will reimburse me the 1k. Think im just gonna get rid of the car before it breaks again. I lost faith in honda. They dont make them like they use to. If you have AC issues, i would call their corp to file a complaint. Hopefully they will issue a recall on the entire AC system. I see it as a safety concern and environmental with these leaks.

Since most mixing instructions are typically for the entire bag of thinset, you have to scale down the ratios for smaller batches. Half, a quarter, or even just ten percent mix if that is all you need. As long as the ratios stays the same, the proper results should equally be the same... Thumbs Up!

Yepper. The first step is to decide the trowel notch size you will be using to determine the square footage coverage. That info is listed on the Lowes website for the Mapei product under "Installation Manual" and is on the Mapei website. Once you know the coverage for that trowel, then calculate the number of ounces of water and the pounds of mortar needed for that area. In my case, I have one 18"x18" tile I have to replace. I used the 10% figure (.10) to calculate the water and pounds needed using a 1/2" notch trowel. 50 lb bag: WATER 6.5qts to 7.5qts x .10 = .65 to .75 qts. MORTAR 50 lb x .10 = 5 lbs. Using a 1/2" notch trowel with the full 50lb bag = 38 to 45 sq ft coverage, so x .10 = 3.8 to 4.50 sq ft. which is larger than the 18" x 18" replacement tile. Really hated that Mapei or other brands don't make small bags, like 10lb bags. Lots of wasted $$ on the 50lb bag.

Put a 11/32" or 3/8" hose on the radiator drain cock will eliminate all messes. Put the other end of the down into your pan or into an empty 4 litre, 1 gallon container.

I believe it's the throw out causing this Mine broke took it off it has been fixed, welded before. if the throw out is worn it will be harder to depress the pedal. Looking for a new pedal assembly. They seem to be a big selling item on ebay Honda Engineers really dropped the ball on this. IMO

Yeah I'll tell you exactly what it is because my car is in the shop for the second time 2016 Honda Civic ex-t warranty replaces condenser😮 the problem is when your condenser goes bad and you're running the AC it ruins the compressor which Honda will not cover its $800 for the compressor $1,200 to put it in dollars at Honda😮 that's the problem😮 these are the first Civics that there was ever major problems with the 2016 I just bought a brand new 2024 trying to sell my 16 and the air went out today in Las Vegas 115°😅 Honda should have replace the compressor with the condenser they both go out at the same time😮 these dealerships are stupid all they have to do is tell the factory the compressor is bad because of the condenser and they make another 2000 per car but they'd rather you pay instead of the factory dumb f*** assholes

HERE IS WHAT YOU NEED TO DO! I complained to American Honda but they only offered to PAY HALF and their offer was only valid for 30 days!!! So I called a LEMON LAW attorney and after 6 months I won $5K they take half so I took home $2.5 which was just enough to cover the part. 2018 Civic LX condenser went out 1st year under warranty, compressor went out 2nd year under extended warranty NOW the evaporator went out just outside of the extended warranty. Love Hondas but this is BS

Good video, How hard would it have been for Honda to design a dipstick into this? You're on the road and have a leak and you can't simply check and add fluid.. They need a plug in the cooler circuit that you could pull for this OCI operation, just overfill the sump, idle until clean oil comes out of the port and kill the engine. Install the plug and check fluid level. Hot oil comes from the Torque Converter directly to the cooler bc that's the main heat generator of the transmission. That's where the other 2-3 qts of that real dark oil is sitting. Would we allow half the oil change in the engine and call it good?? If your oil comes out this dark do this oil change 10K miles earlier next time. This oil is too dark(Overheated) IMHO. You need to do this 2-3 times to get the rest of the oil out that's still trapped in the CVT. I like Acura/Honda products but there's a reason they don't make Spark Plugs, Belts, tires and oil. There are better Full Synthetic oils that will last longer and pass the stress test better than Honda oil. If they are thicker I like them better bc film strength is in the oil, the thicker the oil, the thicker the film strength. This cuts down on wear, better cooling capabilities for any hot spots in the CVT and will absorb temp spikes and recover to normal function much better. HIH

You didn’t save any money. I just had this problem with my 2016 civic. It’s a well known problem with just the condenser. It’s a 15 minute job. They most likely ripped you off on the evaporator and compressor. There’s almost no way all those parts were bad. They just wanted to make some kind of money off you. You would have been better off investing in a recharge machine than going to a dealer.

You might want to rethink this, The first time I cleaned mine it developed a small leak and I had to replace the o-ring seal. The second time I cleaned it, it developed so many leaks all over the inside and even leaks where there were no o-ring seals. I had to replace the tankless water heater, so I went back to a conventional type water heater. The tankless was not but a little over a year old, what a waste of money.
