Got a power blue hard handle today snd the kit to convert but mine didn't come with a new faceplate so gotta wait till next week

It’s probably designed to break before something more expensive does. Not unheard of in some fields. We all know someone that would use one and slap a freakin breaker bar on it.

My snap on man has 10 of those ratchets hanging on his ceiling. I wanted one but when I initially seen that I didn’t want it anymore. I don’t like to see the failure point on the tool as soon as I grab it and look at it.

Doesn't that make the ratchet extremely weak. That just seems like an insane thing to do. The original looks so much more beefier than this with less than like maybe a quarter inch plus they have a big drill going through the center of that for that ball detent. There's got to be some little material there you put any kind of angle or twisted the wrong way I see that thing is snapping right off on you. Best of luck with that part...

I bought the Tekton set, but I do have a snap-on pocket pry bar that stays in my chest pocket. These will definitely have their own uses, and I love Tekton's glass-reinforced nylon handles.

I just use a ¢99 screwdriver that I bent the tip on. It’s a little longer than what I want but works just fine. I have used some of the micro tool truck pry bars but I honestly didn’t like them. They were too small in my opinion. These tektons. Might be just about right or maybe the Mathew’s.

It does not. Just comes in a cardboard box with the 4 pry bars.

They do that because they make 12 inch long quarter inch Drive ratchets. You will bend and break the handles before the gear sets break

Just noticed myself when I got a new ratchet repair kit. So odd, I don’t break any obvious or ratchets so I guess the easier repair is the anvil

how does it ship? is it package in tekton papir? is it sealed? wondering because i wonder if i got a used sett?

I purchased directly from Tekton’s site and it came in a Tekton branded box. It ships with a little foam divider inside to keep them stable.

It’s hard to say because the Tekton set is in its own category. The size of the handle and overall pry bars is nice, but I don’t see myself carrying them in my pocket like the smaller versions. The Tektons are great to grab instead of a small screwdriver when you find your normal pocket pry bar won’t cut it.

I think thay do that so the drive breaks instead of the flexible headed rachet handle as it would be more expensive to replace the whole handle as some people use the extra long 1/4 drive and put a 3/8drive kit in them which you can get a lot bigger sockets on them but not shaw if that's the reason
