How you cross over like that? My hips so wide and legs so short I can’t even get foot over other foot.

What you are seeing is actually more of a cross under rather than a cross over. The crossing (front) leg barely moves across the centerline of your body. Back leg takes a larger stride on the outside edge. Look up "train 2.0" on KZfaq.
