I have always had a great experience with BB’s customer service. I get it, these items we are purchasing are not easy to ship.A couple times the oils have leaked or UPS delivered to the wrong address. BB has always reshipped immediately. As a hobbyist to soap and skincare making that type of customer service is worth paying a little more for. I love your videos and learned so much from each one of them. Thank you!!

Tara's formula is a true tree hut dupe though which was the point. Your formula in the last video did not appear to produce the same experience in terms of texture and elasticity but this video it does appear similar which is interesting! Did you modify the forumula at all? Your formula sounds great for shipping and hot weather events as well as budget! It's nice to have different options.

@@brittnicbee yes, I understood the assignment. As I continue to said, I really liked the consistency of it, I loved working with the silica. That texture is awesome. My sole reason for not jumping on that ingredient is cost, and the fact that it melts in hot weather like today when it’s in the 90s and I have an event to do. No, I have not modified my own recipe in the least. My recipe today is the same as it has been for years now.

@@TheSoapChef I'm just trying to figure out the difference in texture and elasticity between your scrub in this video and the last video because they are very different. This one seems perfect. You did say the other was a scrub you had sitting around for a long time so perhaps it was stored in a different climate/place? Trying to figure out how and where to store it if I make this formula to get the result in this video versus the other. I don't buy pdfs until I am confident I can replicate and store and get exactly the same results. Just wondering because I am interested!
@TheSoapChef

@@brittnicbee the one that I compared in the first video had been at least six months old. The one that I made fresh in the following video, of course was fresh so yes, the consistency is going to be very different. The more any product sits, the more firm it becomes. I did say that my version is not exactly like tree huts, but it’s close to it. I understand that Tara did an absolute duplication of tree hut formula. That’s not what mine is. This is what I can say about mine, I love it, my customers love it, it absolutely does not melt in hot summer months such as today when it is 90°, and I am out at an event.

DMSO carries anything in the recipe to the bloodstream immediately. Are there any statements or warnings required for selling?
@TheSoapChef
@TheSoapChef Ай бұрын
That’s incorrect information. Studies have shown when used at 50% and above in a topical solution , it was shown to enter the blood stream within 5 minutes. This was determined when other ingredients were dissolved in the dmso which is not the case here. The amount used in this formula is miles away from 50%. Even at 25% you would need a prescription. We are nowhere near that amount. As with any product that we make, caution must be used by the maker. The DMSO in this formula is a very low % and it's diluted by 62.5% of the water portion. It's added to this product to help the other ingredients absorb more readily into the skin. If you are at all concerned with any ingredient in any formula, DONT USE IT. Toxicity of dmso occurs when other substances are dissolved in it such as chemotherapy drugs, heavy metals, pesticides and other toxic compounds.

There's a ton of information out there, most of which is inconclusive. The most important thing to note is that we are not dissolving anything into 50% or more dmso. So the fear mongers out there are putting forth blanket statements. I've been using dmso since the 90's when I was a massage therapist. Of course the main star of the show is the magnesium & with the msm added now, it can't be beat.

DMSO is still included in the recipe in a very small %, b/c it's absolutely fantastic for joint aches/pains but.....I've now added MSM to the pool. This is, by far, the BEST Magnesium Cream you'll ever try. If you have never tried magnesium in any form, you may experience a burning or itching sensation, so just be aware of that. That usually means that you are extremely deficient in magnesium. I no longer get that sensation as I use this cream regularly. If you would rather not use the DMSO simply omit it and add that percentage onto your water portion.
