If its leaking fuel most probably its the float needles sticking, unfortunately you have to open up the carburetors and clean them up

Good video. One thought/question, the Haynes manual says you need a special tool to hold the clutch when torquing up the bolts but I note you didn't use/need one. Am I missing something? Thanks.
@pullumoto
@pullumoto 8 күн бұрын
The tool is only needed when torquing big nut in the middle which sits on the primary shaft and holds the clutch housing. If you are just replacing clutch pack like I did, this is not needed

I have a really dumb question. I tough, that it is necessary ti lift the rear wheel to adjust the chain. Can someone explain why is not the case here?
@pullumoto
@pullumoto 19 күн бұрын
The bike must be on the ground and on side stand because it will already have some tension on the suspension(which affects chain tightness) if the wheel is off the ground the measurement wont be accurate as the chain will be a bit on the looser side. This is also specifically stated in the workshop manuals.

Ciao Pullo, I have noticed my radiator fan doesnt start, engine gets to hot quickly, so whats mostly the issue, Coolant Temperature sensor or the thermostate!?
@pullumoto
@pullumoto Ай бұрын
First thing I would check is the oil, check that its not milky and contaminated with coolant(just check from dipstick) If it's clean oil I would check coolant level and thermostat. You can test the thermostat easily in a pot with boiling water and you should see it open.

Hey! Nice video. I have Scrambler 1100 and I intend to install crash pads on my own. My question is that possible to change the rod without jacking the bike under the engine? (Because I don't have any motor protection metal to support the jack as you did.)
@pullumoto
@pullumoto Ай бұрын
I would advise to still support the engine as there is a good chance it will drop just a bit when removing the old rod. Just use a piece of wood between the jack and engine to distribute the weight and you should be fine.

Hey @pullumoto I have a scrambler as well how did you know the spark plug needed to be changed. My bike is revving to high rpm’s but not accelerating fast please lmk
@pullumoto
@pullumoto Ай бұрын
I usually change the plugs when I buy the bike and whenever the manual interval states(for scrambler its 24,000km). Not a bad idea to replace them earlier as spark plugs are very cheap and you only need 2 for scrambler. The most obvious sign of wear on a spark plug is the electrode gap gets worn out so the gap becomes bigger.

What year is your Hypermotard? I have a 2023 and it looks quite different. That said; you will discover that the radiator guard is unnecessary, most of the debris kicked up will hit the oil cooler. The. debris (mostly bugs) can be removed with a toothbrush.
@pullumoto
@pullumoto Ай бұрын
It's an 821 model from 2014 so it doesn't have an oil cooler. I guess the radiator guard protects more from stone chips rather than debris pulled up by the front tyre but it looks good too
