What would recommend for extreme cold weather for oil weight? Extreme heat? What’s your thoughts on oil catch cans? Dual or single oil catch can?

I have the ford service policy. So any oil issues or lack of quality will be back on them, since ford is doing all my service u dear the service plan.

I do cars youtube channel tore a couple 2.7's apart and the oil pump belt had cracks showing around 100k miles. I think the concern is not it totally breaking but rubber breaking off getting in the oil although i have not seen any videos of one failing or destroying the engine.

The engine has timing chains but the oil pump works with a belt that breaks. Why?

I own a Maverick EB AWD 2024 XLT since last April. So far I like it. I'm not a contractor, just a regular dude. This little truck brings a lot of value to the table for the price. I'm using mine for camping, going to the cottage, light workloads, and a lot in the suburbs. Way cheaper in TCO compared to a F-150. I was hesistant when I got it. I was wondering if I should have gone with the F-150, but I am happy I went with the Maverick. Not everyone needs a full-size truck. Good video BTW.

I installed a J&L OSC oil catch can/oil separator on my 09' 300C 5.7L Hemi at 53,886 miles in June 2024, out of curiosity, I just checked it today after about 1500 miles, it was about 1/4 full. I'm so glad I decided to invest in this catch can/oil separator, it is definitely working to keep the oil vapors from returning into the engine.

My engine oil smells really badly of gasoline. I suspect that it is because of short trips that don't get the engine hot enough and lots of cold starts in the winter. I just changed my oil about 1k miles and one month ago and it still smells. Not all of the old oil comes out so that is still contaminating it, I guess. I don't think my driving since the oil change has caused more gasoline contamination because I have tried my best to let it warm up and it's summer right now. Could also be I have a clogged up injector. I probably should do another oil change before 6 months to get rid of the contaminated oil...

The shutters are most likely going to be removed if you're going to install a bigger intercooler, but mine is removed on my edge st, and no codes, or anything wrong with it.
