Oh, oh - big mistake! You NEVER go into the pool of a swimup bar! People are sitting there or hanging around for hours and hours drinking, but mysteriously never leave for the bathroom. I wonder why? 🤔 Yuck! 😨

Excellent and accurate presentation! I will emphasize that older passengers, especially those who have mobility issues or who carry some extra weight (I'm in both categories) may find it extremely difficult or even impossible to climb to the upper bunk. The upper bunk can also feel VERY claustrophobic. As a couple, we will never again travel in a Roomette or Bedroom, for this reason. I'll be traveling alone in a few days, with a large, fragile musical instrument; I'll be in a Roomette & will sleep on the lower bunk while the instrument and my suitcase ride on the upper bunk.

I had a bottom floor roomette all the way to Chicago from the Bay Area. I recommend the bottom floor as the bathrooms and showers are 20 - 25 ft. away.

In my experience this month in June 2024, we were not allowed to switch out any of the bottles of liquor in the room. And we were in the Penthouse suite.

I have that exact WRSHP hat!!! I actually had to cancel a trip for this year and move it to 2026. Amazing price for 7 days!!! I would like to move it closer to our anniversary in November, but the booking window only goes through October 2026. I hope I can change the dates at the beginning of 2025 but keep the same price. Yes, it is first come first served. Normally you shouldn’t have any problems though as most people don’t actually use them.

We are debating going in November. Is the water and beach here dirty or full of seaweed? Did you have any difficulty making reservations on property or get bored of the food or get the stomach flu from eating, or drinking on property? How long of a walk is it to your room? How well did the AC work? I like a cold room to sleep in, 67F ideally. Is the water pressure low, any limited hot water issues, how well does the wifi work?

Lots of questions…let’s start at the top. The beach is beautiful, seaweed is hit & miss (much better in this area because it’s protected by Isla Mujeres). No dining reservations needed. There’s enough variety that we were never bored & never got sick. They have plenty of bottled water & ice has been filtered so it’s fine. The property is compact, literally a few minutes from beach to the farthest end. We like cold rooms too, notify maintenance & they’ll program it lower. Also bring some damp-rid to cut down the humidity. WiFi is strong everywhere

As we mentioned in our Beloved room tour video, the rooms are showing a little bit of wear & could definitely use an upgrade. Having said that, we thought the room was comfortable & fine considering how little time we spent in the room. If you’re looking for a smaller more boutique type resort just like Beloved, but newer…you may want to check out the new Impression Isla Mujeres. It’s really compact like Beloved & the service is supposed to be fantastic. It’s still brand new as it just opened in 2023. We’re still huge fans of Beloved & this is where my wife & I will go when we just want some quiet relaxation

We are so excited to go to Beloved, we are booked in a Penthouse suite. My husband loves a good breakfast and lunch buffet at all inclusives. Does Beloved have buffets? I didn't see that option on the Excellence app. Thanks for this amazing video! It helped make our decision to book a Excellence/Beloved split stay.

It’s the best on the rooftop. Some Casitas have better views than others depending on which way they are facing. Bonita & Bella will have the “worst” views, with “worst” still being good, but just not as good as the other ones…if that makes sense?

It totally depends on so many different factors. One day it can be crystal clear & absolutely gorgeous & the next there can be seaweed everywhere. Other days it can be really sparse.

Thanks for your help, it really clarifies so many things, but I really think US citizens are obsessed with tipping and somehow forcing the rest of the world to tip for almost everything, no matter the service or even if it isn't satisfactory at all. Wouldn't it be better if the hotels pay better their employees rather than expecting the guests to supplement their wages? Why should I tip a person who does his/her job as expected? If they serve me a drink full of water and ice or poorly mixed, should I tip? Do you feel that if you don't tip the maid she will leave spiders under your pillow or not refill the soap dispenser? Do they return me the tip if I treat them politely as I should? I've seen people mistreating bartenders, humillating them and then leaving a buck with a smile of condescencion. Why do not tiping the lifeguard or the dancers in the show? Please, stop trying to make the rest of the world miserable for not leaving a green path of dollars after us.

If you've got deep pockets, Xcaret would be fantastic or possibly The Grand at Moon Palace. Neither of these resorts are known for their beaches though, so if you're a beach person they wouldn't be a good fit.

Not always. Crew change stops tend to be a little bit longer than the normal stop and you can ask your room attendant wha stations are designated as "crew change" along the route.

You need to hold off on applying oil until it is ready to go into the hot oven for searing. The oil at that point will intensify the sear. Search out certified angus beef channel for a great video on Sous vide rib roast cooking.
