what if you can't get access to the exterior of the clay pipe? I have a clay pipe vent coming from my cellar that is in a small brick pit with limit access. I want to attach a plastic L shaped pipe onto this with a vent cowl to raise the vent upwards and reduce the likelihood of water draining into the cellar. The DS103 option wouldn't be possible, are there any solutions where I can use a pushfitting and perhaps some sort of sealant compound to fit into the existing clay pipe and attach the plastic one?

Can I use this for a new sh** pipe?

I have a tick shaped/ 45 degree upward gulley which the Bath and basin water goes into then straight to the septic tank. I know there’s no blockages but can work out why the Bath water is overwhelming it, causing it to overflow. Can anyone help?

Inner diameter of clay pipe is smaller than inner diameter of plastic, outer diameter of clay pipe is bigger than OD of plastic pipe (4" vs 110mm) So you will get a lip when joining plastic to clay. Solution, make sure lower parts of pipe are lined up before tightening, but beware tendency of rubber coupler to re-centre the plastic pipe. Best to have an inspection cover or rodding eye nearby

If I need to connect a toilet pan to a cast iron soil stack, do I essentially need one of these connectors (the SP140 or equivalent) plus a very small section of 110mm pipe, plus a toilet pan connector? Seems crazy to need 3 parts to connect a toilet to a type of pipe that's very common in old houses. Or is it possible to get a toilet pan connector that connects to a 110 socket? (i.e direct into the SP140 and only needing 2 parts)
