The friendly invasion. Spent many happy days with the Tartan Army. They are welcome everywhere they go. For 20 years since visiting war torn Sarajevo they have visited local orphanages and childrens hospitals everywhere they go bearing gifts for the children. Scotland a proud, beautiful, small country with a big heart.

I imagine they are playing it BECAUSE they are in Germany. This melody was composed by German musicians Ulrich Roever and Michael Korb in 1982 for a Highland games held in Germany. HTH Marky boy.

A lot of Scottish football fans will descend on Cologne from tomorrow onwards, where the 2nd group match will take place against Switzerland on Wednesday. So, welcome to Cologne. Don`t forget to visit Cologne Cathedral - it`s so beautiful. Not to mention a walk by the River Rhein. It`s lovely.
