If you know someone at BP, Chevron, Shell, or any of the oil companies, you can get a permit onto the oil field and drive a private vehicle to the ocean. You do need a permit for it though.

This has been a fantastic series to devour! You guys outdiid yourselves and others as well! Truly epic. And historically significant as well. And let's not forget the great Panamanians who helped make this possible. They deserve a big kudos for risking taking you guys through and doing their best to assure your well-being. I hope your time in Ecuador has been productive and pleasant. I've actually ridden motorcycles in Ecuador - not my own but a couple small local bikes and a police KLR. Ever since my first visit I've wished I could ride the whole county. It's a motorcycling paradise both on and off-road. It sounds like you're gonna hit what I've heard called "the Inca trail", a back country trek through rugged terrain to reach the site of Maccu Piccu. I saw a video years ago where someone documented that trek. They didn't tackle it alone but were with a group tour guided from station to station where the organizers provided sustenance, shelter, and sleeping arrangements. But the participants still had to walk... Que Dios les acompañe! And please, let's see some more riding action! Cheers

That's a good message. Let every one risk according to his and her own judgement. The more capable among us are targets for the less capable to accuse us of taking foolish risks. It's not a genuine concern, but rather an attempt to guilt trip and reign in the more capable. Imposed restrictions appease the less capable.

Nail trimming trick with my Australian Cattle Dog Blue Heeler I got him addicted to the Kong Frisbee and I would take him to an empty parking lot on the weekend and play Frisbee with him and he trimmed his own nails chasing the Frisbee. All I had to clip was his Dew Claws
