A inch version 2 with 12k would be incredible, the optics are there but the processer is sorely lacking on the current 1 inch battery life is poor too, if insta360 could upgrade the processor and battery they would have a seriously good semi professional 360 camera on their hands which they could easily charge £1000 for, unfortunately the lack of support for the 1 inch has me doubting we will ever see this

@@thatguymakesthings Ahh so you can actually do this if you hold it the main button while printing the first layer. While this is cool I don't know if it would solve the problem as it changing consistency is the bigger issue. Granted I haven't tested this and won't be able to, but it is interesting.

Hi, I really like your videos, how and where you have your recordings and how you cut them! Thank you! My personal issue that I cannot ignore any longer is a VFA pattern that goes in perfect 2mm lines around my prints. Most noticably on straight edges, mostly in X direction. Maybe you can look into your parts and compare it to your Mini, which I also happen to have (no VFAs, perfectly reliably by now). After tinkering with the XL it's always fun to dust off the Mini and just start printing on the tiny built plate!
@Dragon3D
@Dragon3D 15 күн бұрын
Thanks, I appreciate it! I won't be able to compare them as I don't have the XL with me and won't for a while, but I never noticed VFA patterns on my XL. If it's not a large batch or small enough the Mini is defeinitly still fun to use!

Very nice! Yeah, making it float - and make it run fast - is a lot of work. I am making a Swamp Boat and my first try had issues too - but it runs a bit faster than yours (not a competition, but... always a competition, right?). Loved your video. I am much older than you and that helps (just a bit), but you are absolutely in the right path: trying, iterating, making stuff instead of just using social media. Good luck, you will make it soon. Now let me finish my boat so I can show it fail on my channel too.

We need a 1 inch version of the x4. At the same time, use the x4 in daytime and use a Insta360 ONE R 1-inch Edition action cam in low light should do the job also. When you say the x4 has 8k video you are not lying but need to add that it is spread over the whole 360 degrees. So when using the same camera angle, they are the same.

They should use cardboard spools, or have a way of sending empty spools back to the filament factory. Edit: Here's an interesting video from a Canadian filament maker. I bet there's a way of turning failed prints into pellets that could be extruded into "new" filament. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qc5hg5xq2a_blKM.html

we really just need our recycling facilities to actually recycle more. They basically only do the easiest to recycle materials and skip the rest despite their "recycleable symbol" or a giant solar powered pyrolysis plant that can heat up and distill down those plastics into the various oils and fuels again for reuse.
@RedstonerD

I would love more kits or printer standards going towards using pellets

besides beeing a little more expensive, i like bambulabs effort in promoting reusable spools and spool refills. Wasted prints though are a thing i need to start thinking about

yes, we have to do something about plastic waste in 3d printing, although there are places that will recycle pla now, its quite rare. There’s really no excuse for plastic spools, unless they are intended to take refills . I now only get cardboard spools.

You can replace the heat break with one from bond tech and never have to replace the hot side PTFE tube again. Also, try Capricorn PTFE tubes. I have many hundreds of hours without failures using these.

I did that a few years ago when having issues with my mini…unfortuneatly the bondtech heat break suffers from heat creep. There are a few long thrrsds about this on the prusa forum. What i ended up doing is changing to a dragon hotend. The mini has been flawless since then. Took some tinkering and requires a working printer to print the new mounts but definatly worth it🎉
