This is one of my favorites of Lionel's - a sad/sweet song.

This song is a masterpiece! And two grown tough looking bearded men is getting touched by this! I love it! I am a big, 60 year old with a big beard and a shaven head and this song always get me wet eyes!

She hooked me the first time I heard Flyleaf in 2005 while I was entering my junior year in highschool up until 2023 I had only really been listening to that 1 album. It's been a little over a year catching up on her other Flyleaf albums & solo albums and the more I listen the more I love what she does.

I had a few metal fan friends who asked me once what punk band they should get into first before exploring the rest, and I always recommend Pennywise. Very thrash compared to some others, similar to Suicidal Tendencies.

Let's face it, if someone studied Puccini and Mozart and Beethoven and then came out with new Symphony and Opera they would say he sounds like such and such. GVF just studied a form of music that has been touch on much lately but that age of golden masters is undeniable. They sounded very much like their studies at first, now like any good evolving band they're putting new into those bed rock foundations.

The entire Age of Aquarius album is stellar. I just have listened to the CD in my car more than 50 times before listening to anything else. The first 3 tracks are my favs.

Patterson's voice is sometimes like a Croak. I think it's cool, more unique than Isbell or Cooley's voice or bassist Shonna Tucker's, tho they were all good

Believe it or not this is a cover. The writer Jim Steinman recorded it with Rory Dodd on vocals in 1981. The story goes that after Bat Out of Hell (which Steinman wrote the whole album) became a success the studio wanted a Bat Out of Hell 2 immediately but Meatloaf was unable to record due to health issues that resulted in hin losing his voice, so Steinman recorded the album Bad for Good in 1981 which festured this song with Rory Dodd. There were a few songs on that album that Meatloaf would re-record for other albums. Steinman and Meatloaf would end up working on Dead Ringer immediately after Bad for Good was released as Meatloaf was doing better. I like both versions, but this is a bit more polished I feel.

This band is like a modern form of old school bands like sabbath, Sleep, candlemass, or like y’all said, the sword. But it’s heavy like crowbar. Maybe it’s the drop B guitar tuning idk. But It feels refreshing to listen to them

❤ Freddie's last song was The show must go on. Brian wrote it when Freddie was really really ill, he didn't think Freddie would be able to do it but (in his words) Brian said he lugged back some vodka & said "I'll fu****g do it darling"... & he did (thank god)

Jake actually won guitar solo of the year 2022 with guitar world for this solo. Not a huge accomplishment but it's certainly something to be proud of. It's an unreal solo!
