Thanks for sharing! How many days would you recommed to say in Cortina d'Ampezzo if you wanted to see the most poplar hikes / views. ? And do you recommed to have your own car or just use busses to get to the hikes?

Hi Frederik 😊 thank you for kind words I’m happy you liked our video. I’d say you’ll need 5 full days to see all the popular locations. We spent 3 full days and it wasn’t really enough. We were in a hurry to see everything. So I believe 5 days will be great!

Regarding the transportation: you’ll definitely need a car. Without car you’ll lose much time, getting to the places too late, skipping beautiful sunrises. And then you’ll have to come back to the town with the bus, not having a chance to see beautiful sunsets. So I recommend getting the car for your trip, having freedom 😊

We were traveling there 9 months ago. We felt very comfortable and 100% safe back then. We are not sure what’s the situation right now. Please do a research before going and stay safe 🙏🏻

We definitely will choose the Caldeirao Verde. We did it few times and every time we’ve enjoyed it so much! It’s much more adventurous than the 25 Fontes one ❤️🥰

Have visited Madeira many times but your excellent video has taken me to some beaches i have yet to find. I always like to spend time on the beach in Machico, as it is easy to get to and swimming is safe. Thank you!

Yes, it is possible. There are public buses. They all line up in front of the station house with marked directional routes on the side of the bus. You can buy a ticket from the bus driver :)

nice to watch lovely video from that levada missing my walks too...few trails you can go from there, when you walking in the levada, just need be carefull as take more hours back or get other point of finish ,need get transport either or back same place,as can be trick and can be very late ...depends how is your speed too ,,,beautiful trails from there you be more suprise with different scenaries

That’s a challenging hike. Definitely have to be prepared well and understand how long and how hard it is. This is our favorite hike on the island ❤️

nice video and enjoy it watch ...long time no go old passion one my favourite walks,,35 years ago did my first walk to caldeirao verde and caldeirao do inferno,as one the few more dangers walks in madeira ,,,can be complete disaster and fatal ,,anywa thank you for share your experience

Great video! That being said I don't understand why people are so keen on doing levada hikes. You go for a few hours in the same setting and very rarely get good views. There are no flowers, no birds and only some of the levadas offer green vegetation. I cant believe that experienced travelers can be excited by the small waterfalls.

Can Tho is where I live, and the population is quite dense, approximately over 1 million residents. Water is indeed polluted since there’re plenty of residential areas are built alongside of the Mekong river. If you go to Ben Tre, An Giang or deep in the country, you’ll find it green and clean. I highly recommend Ben Tre province where my parents came from.

Thank you for your kind comment 😊🥰 here is some useful information for the hike: Distance: The total distance of the hike is 12 km Duration: The hike will take you about four hours, especially if you have a nice lunch break at the main waterfall, which is at the halfway point of the trail before you turn back. Difficulty: The beauty of this trail, and one of the reasons why it is so popular, is that it has almost no incline. Over the course of 12 kilometers, there are only around 100 meters of incline. So it’s basically flat, which makes it comfortable for most hikers 😌 There are a few tunnels where you will need a headlamp or phone light, so take it into the consideration 🔦

Hi ! I just watched you video and it really convinced me to do this hike. I'm just wondering, you say PR17 is a loop, but on Madeira's website the start and end point is not the same. What was your path to make it a loop? Thanks!

Hi! We are happy our video has inspired you to do this hike. It’s really worth it. You’ll finish the hike about 2 km away from your start point. Then you’ll walk along the road back to the parking, where you had started the trail (you also can try to hitchhike, that’s what we did. We were really tired 😁). And that’s how it’s a loop trail :)

Thank you for such a kind comment 😌 we’re happy you’ve found this video useful! We’ve booked this tour one day before. When you get to Labuan Bajo - you’ll find many tour operators. So there is no need to book ahead (at least this was like this at the time we’ve visited the place). We had our tour with a great guide Marcel (@komodomarvel - his IG, [email protected] - his mail). He has his own private boat. We really recommend him 👍🏻
