Hi Mark , I had The TYCO / KENBRITE ! ( HP - 2 CARS Back in the Late Seventies Early Eighties my Car's were the Porche 908 and 917 Red and Blue S light green Striped Harley Chrome plated ! Plastic with the Headlights !The carl wantef was the SUPA GLOW VETTE , But l Didn't have Enough Money on me , So l l Bought Fifteen inch Straights instead , Anyway , I'm just wondering if you have any of those !?? And Whether you have done a Running Commentary ! On them ! Myself when KENBRITE Fell into Voluntary Administration ! After there COMMAND CONTROL Cars ! ( Which l also parts of but NOT THE COMPLETE SET ! ) TYCO hate to look for another company ! Of course came up with TOLLTOYS ! there MAGNUM 440 AND HP- 7 CARS ! Im Guessing NOW , TYCO are with MATTELL ! NOW !?? The thing that gets me with TYCO because l had there 1981 Catalogue ! Therer Monogram was the same as the SARA.LEE Cheesecake company ! And TYCO HAD the statement , A Consolidated foods company ! A company Responsive to consumer Needs , the circle cut inwards on the right hand side with The black Dot in it ! We used to boil the empty chassis and put them in a machinist vise and tweak the chassis a little so we could put larger rear tires ( silicon over foam ) makes em faster . Also tyco axle was .002 smaller and would give a touch of suspension. Rarely did they pop off . . Stock AFX can run on two car batteries in series 24 volts . Very very rare they would damage engines in fact I’ve seen maybe two in ten years ( my friends included) . I dependent fronts also .

When racing, I like the concept of run what you brung. In comparison, never really liked the NASCAR concept, of everything the same. Then it just becomes left hand turns & follow the leader. After 500 miles, that gets boring real quick.

Guess the next step is a table build. To get the track off the floor & elevated? I still have to build mine too.

Hi Mark, can you use the new wireless controllers with the old wireless dongle or vice-versa?

Any aftermarket traditional controllers available for this. Not a fan at all of the thumb controllers.

I own two slot car tracks. My first one was a TYCO X2 4-lane track 4'x16'that I had Brad Bowman copy to make a custom track out of. I also own a custom 4-lane 32-scale track that is 8' x20'. I am now thinking of building another 32-scale track in the same design as my HO track. Is there someone out there who could design my HO track using Policar track?

Are you sure the motor isn't in upside down? The crown gear looks to be on the opposite side to what is conventional (for me).

I just grab 2 tyco 440 x2 this morning and I'm about to build them up ill let you know how it turns out.

Any advice on switching out the magnets? Just pop 'em out and pop the new ones in or special tool needed?

Does that car have traction magnets?

I have a couple orange parma controllers. If I remember correctly they are something like 35omh controllers. Do you or anyone else know what cars would work best with them. I have not put a connector on them yet as I am still building a fold up wall table, 3x14. I forgot how fun these are to build. I haven't had these sets out since my boys were young, probably around 1994. We have about 40 cars of all kinds. We always just ran afx tomy stock controllers until now.

I've had my Policar track for about two years now, and I love it! The grip is so good that I run all my cars with rubber tires and no magnets, it makes for fun driving. I have the Professor Motor controllers as well, but I have the version that is made for the track and just plugs right into the power jack. It's great having the variable power supply, and those soft guardrails are really gentle on the cars. I have not tried, but I think you could squeeze 1/24 cars on the track as well, at least the smaller ones. I do wish there was a different color option than black (a shade of gray) and it is a challenge to clean. but that is being really picky lol.
