Do people in parts of Ireland actually speak like this, or is this just an over exaggeration?

Was in a shop yesterday and two young kids were buying sweets and seeing how they much they could get with their money. The owner was going demented. The two people behind them were laughing and here's me thinking of this scene.

I have a Charlie Taylor record with this song on it, and there is still another verse(which comes between the second and third verses here). It goes like this: “Shoot me like an Irish ☘️ soldier, do not hang me like a (dog? I have never been able to make out this word for sure, due to Taylor’s thick brogue), anyway-“For I fought to free ould Ireland 🇮🇪 on that cold September morn’. All around that little bakery where we fought them hand to hand. Shoot me like an Irish ☘️ soldier, for I fought to free Ireland 🇮🇪!!!” This phonograph record belonged to my grandparents; now it’s mine. Other songs on it include “Black Velvet Band.” Wearing off the Green, Wild Colonial Boy, and of course Danny Boy.

Blanked out "it was the nearest thing I've ever done to doing a JC" Which is funny, considering Dave so often made fun of religion. Why post a Dave Allen video if you're so precious about religion?

Dippy, as in a swim - sorry but no, we don't say that. And we don't watch footie on Christmas Day - there are no football games played on Christmas Day. We are likely to play a game of backyard cricket.
