Interesting the plating is coming off. Action Army barrels seems to have a really thick plating for what they are, but they're a bit wavy. Also interesting this is a bronze and not brass, I bet that drives up the manufacturing costs
@xtairsoft3 ай бұрын
Does seem a little strange, bronze more expensive than brass, brass more expensive than stainless steel. Looks like the barrel is made from a mold, nothing wrong with that. Maybe you get better result with bronze from a mold. I had a peek inside an electroplated Madbull I think (roughly same age) and saw similar. The website claims 6.03mm chamber end and 6.35mm crown end but I measure much differently. It's the same thing we chatting about a while back, how difficult it was for manufacturers to mass produce inner barrels to those precise measurements.
@xtairsoft3 ай бұрын
The TNT is 8 months old, decent usage and was cleaned inside. The wider bore end resulted in a 10% drop in fps which I kinda expected when compared with a 6.01mm inner barrel but a decent enough BB flight.

Yep. I have ZCI 6.02mm inner barrels in two of my builds that seems to accumulate BB residue and shards extremely quickly, i'm talking less 500 BBs in one night and I have to clean the barrel. If I don't I start accumulating shards of BBs and get completely random flyers from my RIF. ZCI is a dice roll and they're cheap for a reason.
@xtairsoft5 ай бұрын

With brushless motors you have to turn anti breaking off as the MOSFET reverses the polarity, effectively putting the motor in reverse. This will damage the ESC of the motor. I'm not sure about pre cocking but I think this works the same way, so best to turn that off as well, please advise me if I'm wrong.
@xtairsoft5 ай бұрын
Yeah for sure, turn off Active Breaking and pre-cocking to be on the safe side. I believe some brushless motors like the T238 has a capacitor fitting that allows these functions to work - not 100% sure though
@timmesy8215 ай бұрын
Active braking does not reverse the polarity. It just shorts out the motor windings to itself.

@midwestairtech5 ай бұрын
There's a chance they are the same or nearly the same motor just with different external finish/colors. Perhaps different number if wire windings for different RPM. The XT and the King Arms are almost certainly rebrands of another motor.
@xtairsoft5 ай бұрын
@tairtech I've not seen inside every Brushless Airsoft motor but there seems to be quite a difference in the electronic components used by each one. Be interesting to see where this leads. Early days at the moment, hard work to bring this motor to market at this price so for sure components are all shared. The King Arms is twice as expensive as mine so very unlikely it's the same motor. I was offered a number of different external can designs so I think that's where the similarities occur. The factory which made mine are new to the Airsoft world, well so they said! I have no reason to doubt them however you never really know the full story.

have you tried these barrels recently? I feel like the quality has went down
@xtairsoft7 ай бұрын
Nope, wouldn't have a clue what quality is like now. If you're in the UK have a look at the ones I've got coming out. Also with any inner barrel I've seen it lots of times where someone says it's not good but then doesn't test with another barrel, they blame the barrel but the issue was nozzle alignment, or hop chamber fitment etc etc, so you need to rule that out. It's hard to truly measure the quality without an expensive borescope or measuring tool. However they charge £15 for a 229mm so maybe worth spending a little more.
@hoecage87817 ай бұрын
@@xtairsoft definitely not nozzle alignment or hop chamber, I'm staring through the barrel with a light source at the other end and the rings are uneven so the barrel itself isn't even straight. 370mm, bought it 1 month ago. @xtairsoft7 ай бұрын
These pin gauges are quite expensive so don't want them to get stuck or scratched so just happy to do a couple of inches at the moment. End of the day if a BB can go down and the shooting is straight that's more than good enough. I'd perhaps expect it on a barrel that cost £120 but not for £20.
