What time of year was this when you did this trip? 😍
@TightLoops7 күн бұрын
I think it was late June-ish. I thought the video had some dates in it but I can’t remember. Late spring early summer at some point for sure, because we mounted an expedition into Labrador the same summer in mid august, and we had a good amount of prep time in between

So true! We’ve traveled all over the country and world, but something about the northeastern forests is special like nowhere else.

I'm so grateful to the organizations in my area here in the Adirondacks. " Trout Unlimited" has done a lot in designating certain areas as catch and release, no treble hooks and promoting barbless hooks.
@TightLoops26 күн бұрын
Absolutely. Check out “Trout Power” sometime if you get a chance. They’re doing super cool stuff establishing genetic baselines for various heritage strains of brook trout in the ADKs!!

One of the best exploration films I've ever seen. Everything you guys make is top notch, but this was truly flawless. Thank you for showing us this truly wild and beautiful place that so few have the fortune of seeing in person. Maybe one day I'll have the privilege of exploring an uncharted river up there.

I can watch your stuff with my grandsons. I found you folks through one of your associates that you do some stuff with but they are evolving into way too much drinking and cussing 2:53 which I really don’t want the kids seeing. I can watch your stuff with the boys and not worry. You guys really do a good job and I love your story telling abilities. By the way, I get the stuff with bronchitis; I went through a similar battle around the same time. I found some stuff that really works well and still use it today. I’m a bit older than you so it really hit me hard. Stay encouraged and God Bless you and Amy.

My love for independent film grew through through skateboarding as well. That medium was so cool in the early 90s. I enjoy yours @ Amy’s filmmaking so much lately. I really look forward to and admire everything that you two do. Well done.🙌🏼🙌🏼

Maybe my favorite Tight Loops offering ever (and I've liked them all). Didn't anticipate that it would be, because, while not at all a trout-only type, I've never been interested in carp. Should have trusted these creators though, to make carp artful. Great work.

Beautiful edit! That ditch at 8:30 looked so fun! I’ve targeted and caught a lot of carp but never on the fly. Exposing these overlooked urban fisheries which may be the only access many kids have to fishing is great, I think. I subbed and look forward to the next one!

Incredible video. I love the juxtaposition of urban and natural environments, all captured and evaluated through ‘the lens’ of analogue vs digital film making. You have an amazing talent for blending topics seamlessly in really interesting ways. Please keep producing high quality, against the grain material. Any idea when the merch on your site is going to be restocked?
