Oh boy..... Absolutely despise the intro.... and really love how the next two sentences are played at the continuation at kzfaq.info/get/bejne/priPgcVintmRgY0.htmlsi=hOyvJRca55ZJEItf&t=33 The remainder then, again, is a strange mix between beautifully articulate while adding some elements of a cringeworthy type of 'I need to be different'-ness. And the tempo later on towards the finale.... ugh. Ton Koopman is never, ever boring though, that's for sure.

In this composition, in which Buxtehude got to write for a well-tempered organ instead of a quarter-comma meantone-tuned organ, you can really hear where Bach was coming from.

Koopman is a genius but the modified meantone is a wonderful for this music too. The same music on the equal temperament would be dead.

Quand le monde fléchit autour de soi, quand les structures d’une civilisation vacillent, il est bon de revenir à ce qui, dans l’histoire, ne fléchit pas, mais au contraire redresse le courage, rassemble les séparés, pacifie sans meurtrir.
