I've been waiting for this moto adventure to come out since you published it! I didn't know I had a dream until I saw the first video in this series. Hopefully, there will be another video. Thanks, Mr. Pearson, for such amazing production!

Another great one Brent. I really got to get myself out to Iceland to ride.

It must be nice to have a group stop so you can use your drone
@brentbat14 сағат бұрын
Yes it is. But I’m pretty quick on launching and retrieving the drone so it’s not a big inconvenience. I also showed them the footage on day 1 so they could appreciate the drone perspective.

I’ve called ambulances/EMS more times than I’d like. Thankfully always had phone reception I’d press the distress becon right away if I had it. Trying to explain to someone over the phone where you are. When they can’t put in lat long, is extremely frustrating. That side by side would have made it through, just needs to air down. Glad he’s ok in the end. And how awesome is seeing the 139 come in and land.

Superb! It was actually your initial Iceland trip that lit the spark for me to want to get back into riding after more than 2 decades of not. I now have a 701. Being a massive 'Sigur Ros' fan, I'd love to get myself to Iceland one day. Thanks so much.
@brentbat14 сағат бұрын
The 701 is a great bike. I also enjoy Sigur Ros.

So does this mean leave shudder speed on auto and just use the ND filter to get that shudder speed once determining with that app what filter is required?

Correct. Although take a look at my morerecent post about hacking GoPro

Very very good. As a viewer I would to see one of your “how to” instructional films on color correction, from very first look and how to go about it. Like that beach scene in or around the 14 minute mark. Really brilliant!
@brentbatКүн бұрын
Ok. Maybe I’ll do a tutorial on that.
@thecorporategypsyКүн бұрын
@@brentbat so I shoot in Flat now as you suggested. So when I have the footage, esp on an overcast day, what are the steps to colorize? Irregardless of the software how do I start and what are the principal’s eg start with contrast but stop when the clouds lose their distinction (as you did with the beach shot)?
@brentbatСағат бұрын
@@thecorporategypsy Hey there, ok I'm not sure which version of gopro you have, but I'll assume it is an 11 or older and that you aren't using a GoPro 12 shooting log. So my approach to colour correction is a) Add more contract (i am using Lumetri for colour correction and I add about +30 contrast b) I then also add saturation (again about +30). c) Then I'm looking at the scopes and adjusting the white and black levels so that they are maximised, but don't clip. d) I'm also doing colour balance by adjusting the temp and tint sliders to remove any casts. That should give you a colour corrected pleasing image. Then I finally apply a creative lut at the end to create the look at feel I want. I'll have to demonstrate it in a video... maybe I can do it this week.... if not, next week.

@@brentbat that is huge many thanks. I have a GP11, 8 and am looking to get the 12. Plus a 360 (but probab going with GP color setting as use this camera in very very specific situations as have same view as you on quality and its fiddly), plus Skydio and DJI mini 4 pro. Thats very big principals as it was a bit overwhelming ie where to start. Thanks again!

Thx lot for this second Iceland movie . Great shooting and good advices. We plan a 3 weeks trip next summer with our 2WD Ural side car. Your video makes us seriously considering the west fjords. Cheers from France ✌️

June is the best month for the fjords Ps: west fjords is only the west you have all the fjords north center which are quite spectacular and less touristic. Especially that track to the black sand beach…

Brent you sure know how to give the viewer a visual treat , with both words and music thats really calming . Watching this made me think of a bbc nature production with david Attenborough. As alwasy a pleasure to watch !

Hi, I’m living in Iceland and I want to buy a bike to do little commuting but mostly do this kind of adventures. Do you think BMW 310 GS is a good choice for this off road conditions? Is it off road enough?
@brentbat2 күн бұрын
Yes. I think you could ride most of the tracks on a GS. Perhaps not the dandy tracks but 90% of them for sure.

Thanks for another fantastic bike video!👍 I did "the Bulldogger" trail with my 1250GSA last summer. I was on my own and there was no cellphone coverage, so when I reached the beach with the big stones at 8PM I decided it was safest to turn back. 😕
@brentbat2 күн бұрын
That would have an exciting solo ride. When you hit the beach you were almost done. Only about 200 yards of stones then back to easy dirt track. But then you got to ride it twice 😀
