I used the static joystick type, nipple.js have dynamic, semi, and static joystick types, if you want to keep it fixed in place that's the way, please refer to their documentation for more, I can make my repo public if you need to see the code behind it, let me know.

how to restrain the joystick from being touched from all the way across the screen in static mode

@@4_8ubot you can do that by limiting the region of the joystick wrapper, keep the region fixed and specify height and width of the block, I've also added the repo link in the description, let me know if you have additional question, *}*
