I was forced to be an adult until I was about 24 years old. I've never had a birthday. Had my first sleepover when I was 16. Went to 9 different schools before grade 10. I have key memories of "good days" that I spent almost 2 decades trying to get back to. 4 days of my life are almost all I have for positive memories of my past. I spent far too long trying to go back. You can't. Something we must all accept. I had much more to say, but that inner monologs got me good. I lost my train of thought, and nearly deleted this, thinking "nobody will care about this", and most won't. That's true. Life can be tough. What we need to remember is there is nothing for us after. What we got now is what we get. Take advantage of it before it's over, like the final ball thrown in a park before it gets demolished for a parking lot.
