I never knew there was such a thing as Western side-saddle. Long ago when I was a child I saw my first side saddle rider in a parade. I thought it looked cool as she was very fancily dressed but it was nothing I would ever do.

Every Arabian horse that has to have their head tied down to their chest is being abused. It’s like if we all had to be looking over our reading glasses if we wore them everywhere we walked or drove. These horses have beautiful arched necks that don’t have to be tied down to be seen.

@Iak_eq5 күн бұрын
This I how you ride the breed
@mall_grab5 күн бұрын
@@Iak_eqno the fuck it isn't LOL. This is what incompetent riding is, for the most part. Unbalanced seat, unsteady hands and few of them had their legs all over the place. Junior riders or not, this level of riding has no place in an official show. Most horses were waaaaay overbent, head behind the vertical and tense as hell. Busy mouths and hollow backs. Awful, awful, awful.
@JasmineKaneCircus5 күн бұрын
@@Iak_eq I don't care if that's how everyone does it (or most people). The equine industry needs a lot of reform, and this is just one of those examples. It wouldn't be half as bad if the horses looked comfortable, but they don't! Look up horse facial expressions. All of these horses have a tight jaw, arch above the eye, and airplane ears (swiveled out).

Please correct your explanation of half-Arabian breeding! You stated they are "crossed with Thoroughbreds" they are actually crossed on ANY other breed. Saddlebreds are often used, but also warmbloods, and even grade horses with good type and conformation.
