It didn't have to be just Ace Queen of Diamonds for your opponent to hit the jackpot could also be just Queen Nine of Diamonds for plain straight flush for that jackpot. Quads beaten by straight flush as long as both y'all whole cards plays on the board.

Aren't tournament games better in modern times versus playing cash games??
@PocketMs
@PocketMs 15 күн бұрын
Mmm it depends. Tournaments in my opinion are softer but you it’s much higher variance compared to cash games. So if you have a big enough bankroll to ride out the variance in tournaments then go for it. But I would say you could win more consistently in cash and in tournaments your gonna lose most of your buy ins and then just hope to bink one to make it all back

@mikeytanis7607 28 күн бұрын
@Startedfromthebottom Your reaction isn't totally crazy. I believe it is because for half of the video he doesn't show the board, only 1 card in the shot. So your paranoid mind is already being lead down this path of skepticism. He inserts his commentary over any reaction from other players, so again your mind has no confirmation of what is going on other than the creators cards, a couple player's elbows in the shot, and the creator's stories or saying stuff like 'trust me.' Also on the AQ clubs hand vs the 97os wierd edit where after the hand AsQd is shown on the table with no context or explanation. If I was a director of a movie scene and was trying to get my viewers to be doubtful of what was going on in a scene, this is actually some of the editing I would do. No offense PocketMm's just being honest with my view. If this helps then great, if not then sorry for the take. ❤

@PocketMs
@PocketMs Ай бұрын
Yea I was super confused about the bet too. The main reason why I let my hand go was because I hardly ever see over bets at all. Let alone over bet river bluffs at that. So rather find a better spot to put in $300 than just a bluff catcher I guess. I wouldn’t fault anyone for calling because we unblock spades and the draws like 67 and J10. A5s could make sense but I think they would fold the turn maybe most likely??? But who knows if he coulda just been extra sticky. In the beginning I thought you could just sit down and record, but later the floor would ask me if I had a vlogging permit which I had no idea you needed. Other casinos may or may not have vlogging permits that are required to record and each casino is different. So if you’re trying to start your own vlog I’d just start recording until someone tells you to stop or has a problem with it. If they don’t have an issue then keep on going brotha!

Congrats on passing the exam! I did have a question about your AK suited hand at 3:20. If your read is pretty solid that the opponent has a pocket pair, could there be an argument for just letting this go and waiting for a better spot? (Yes, there's some extra money in the pot from the short stack, and yes, it's maybe (?) possible the larger stack has a worse ace, but would he really shove there with AQ or AJ? You'd know that better than I would. It's also at least possible, if not super likely, that he has AA or KK and has you crushed.). But big picture, if you're pretty sure you are flipping (and actually a small dog) against a smaller pocket pair, is this a possible fold given that it's for your entire stack and you haven't invested too much already? I don't know the answer -- just curious what you think.
@PocketMs
@PocketMs Ай бұрын
Thanks Matt! Yea you could totally make the argument in folding. I just felt like I already had $100 invest and had $350 behind to win $660 in the pot so figured it was worth the gamble. That is totally true that he wouldn’t be 4 bet jamming AQ or AJ because later the guy told me in the bathroom that he would only do that with QQ’s plus. So yea. Didn’t think he would wake up with such a strong hand like queens. Thought he would have a smaller pocket pair like 10’s because it was his third time jamming all in so far at the table. But yea I was kind of ok with the “flip” having to win about 34.3% of the time when I made the call to put the rest of the $350 into the pot to make it $1020. So yea I was behind preflop for sure with only 35.8% equity to win the hand but I guess I was getting the right pot odds to call. Ofcourse you can always fold if you’re not in the mood to gamble! Thanks for taking the time to provide such a detailed comment. It was a ton of fun to reply to and gets me thinking in different ways about how I could play certain hands. Appreciate the support man! Hope to hear from you in future videos 😊

For real though, it's a tough spot. I think I would have called bc it's just so hard to believe his line. I don't see a pair of 5s calling turn unless they were a total station or nonbeliever. You block a set of 8 (1 combo left), quads 5s has 1 combo left, and like you said they're probably not that strong anyway when they snap call the turn. It's also interesting that bc you hold the 8d, there are no possible combos of 85s left with that runout. Overall, just so few value combos that make sense with their line. KQ doesn't make too much sense as it loses to AA. QQ would probably have been raised pre, if not, then on the turn. And like you said, there are a lot of possible draws they could have that missed. You unblock spades, and a lot of straight draws (JT, 76). I don't think I can get away in this spot. Then again, at these stakes that a large river bet is rarely a bluff, let alone an overbet. So I guess the last thing to consider is just your general read on the opponent. Edit: just saw the end, nice fold
