Absolutely marvellous. Learnt a lot from this. I got almost all the books by Hazel and this demonstration is so valuable. Great to see Hazel again. I was fortunate to join a painting vacation with Hazel in Tanzania a few years ago. It was a really memorable trip. Thanks and cheers. Edward from Hong Kong.

I went to art school in the 80s. We had one afternoon of color mixing and my colors were muddy. Tutor wasn't impressed. I asked if he could give me some guidance on color mixing. He laughed. "You thought you'd come to art school and someone would teach you HOW to paint?" So here I am 30 years later and someone IS 'teaching me.' 😁😍

This was such a blast! Thank you so much for providing these get away classes, Brenda. This was my first one ever and I can’t wait to go again, Anyone reading this who is thinking about it, I highly recommend you go for it. Brenda does a brilliant job of organizing these trips and makes it as easy as possible to understand the logistics of traveling with a clear itinerary. I traveled with my daughter but feel confident that I could join another time solo without feeling lost or “alone” . 👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻💕

Before doing any real art projects, every art teacher should know these concepts to pass on to their students. Every teacher should teach students specifically how too swatch out each watercolor from its most intense value to its lightest value, and explain how to use different levels of water to achieve dark to light values. ADDITIONALLY, the teacher should provide students with color mixing exercises with their limited palette. I believe that students would experience much more success with color harmony in their pieces after doing these two processes.

I love Felix's style and his approach. Whenever I get stuck because of my inner critic and the joy evaporates, I always go back to his books and his Domestika course and he gets me going again and I rediscover the joy and love of creating. He's unique. Thank you Felix!

These are Windsor Newton & Holbein colors. Usually it a couple of blue and earth colors get the mold but that only happens when I leave the paints sealed up for 3 weeks or so. To knock that possibly back I make a solution in a small spray bottle of 3/4 water & 1/4 rubbing alcohol
