maybe they tell them to say small or large because more poeple will say large vs if you say regular or grande more people would say regular just because of the psychology of it.... "no i don't want a small, i'm an adult, i'll have a large" -- "i'll have a regular because I'm a regular person not someone who needs extra" --- "small" is less attractive than "regular" -- or that's just what the person calls it and this is all a bunch of papanca

Solid theory, makes sense. Most places try to get the customer to buy a large. I remember when I worked in McDonald’s, they had asked us to ask every customer who ordered a meal if they wanted to ‘make it a large’. It works too, and there’s definitely something psychosexually rooted to it; women insecure about the size of their 🍈 🍈/men insecure about the size of their 🍆. Insecurities are used against us to sell us almost anything and everything.
