This will now be the junk chrome era, where chrome products will tank just like junk wax/slabs. Many people are getting out of chrome cards and selling all their cards. Just a bunch of high production, low quality controlled garbage IMO. And on-licensed to boot...geez...LOL

Blessup SCD, been catching your vids since Ive gotten back collecting at my own pace. But since i live in bklyn going to the Javits was a no brainer. me and my wife went it was epic as events in the Javits was. but I wasnt there for Autographs or photo opps cause those lines was crazy, but its NYC I get it. they had the setup quite nice and tons of sellers, tons of YT and content, breakers was walking around everywhere which was cool. met up with a breaker from drip. but what was a great thing for me is taking my cards in for grading. took like 7 cards to CGC since I had the yearly sub. no longer than 15mins and my cards was in "delivery" to my home soon. "my first grading" 2 kobe rookies, jayson tatum rk, and some Wembys. its cameras up everywhere and although celebs are on the floor surrounded by state troopers and body guards, some of them will still greet you and take a photo or sign something without being on line for hours for a pacific star. but overall its just a normal day in NYC. but I did enjoy myself Saturday. but it was strange that it wasnt no free stuff or bags only PSA, SGC, Beckettes and CGC gave you shirts,bags for your service after. but still a great experience....

PC Cards must be in the PC to be considered PC cards!. And Grail Cards must be held for 5 yrs before your considered as a grail card holder.

It is extremely frustrating seeing cards that are on my want list up for sale at super high prices, and not even having offers on or still having a super high auto decline offer set e.g. I want a legacy collection card at it is at over 3K on fanatics and the minimum offer is 3K. I did end up buyiing a card that was listed at 1.5K that I had been watching for at least 2 years. It was a PSA 10 but no other copies have been put up for sale in the last 5 years plus in any grade or raw. I did think that was worth a lot less than I paid but I still did get it under 300. Sometimes I have got lucky with offers e.g. 400 down to 140, 150 down to 15, 500 down to 125. I'm trying to get a 24K card for 1K. It isn't looking likely, but it would be a record for the particular card. If offers aren't on, I will sometimes message the seller and tell them what I am willing to pay. Sometimes, they have accepted and added a best offer to the listing. Other times they have said what their best would be, other times they have said that they would keep it in mind, while others they have said no or not responded.

Seeing everything that they have at Fanatics Fest anybody who thinks they didn't get their money's worth or value from the $50 ticket are just complaining to be complaining. With all of the interactive stuff, museum type displays, card dealers, the center stage panels they do where you can listen to Brady, Jeter, and many others and so much more tickets should be double if not more. Biggest complaint I have heard is about the long lines for Exclusive product and autographs and I'm like well Duh like they thought they were showing up and were going to be the only people there. Yeah lines are going to be 500+ people long and anybody thinking it was going to be otherwise are just fools.

Sometimes the collection is very valuable, so stored under lock at home. Accessed anytime.

I think they ought to abandon the idea one or two big national festivals and maybe just focus on 10 to 12 cities a year with NBA, NFL and MLB franchises. That way the experiences would be more organic and you could get by with lesser known talent and still give fans of those franchises a fun time.

For me, having cards in a vault somewhere with no direct access is the same as having a bunch of pictures of the card saved on your phone. As a collector I like to own the damn thing and be able to take it out and look at it when I so choose.

Sell through Golden or Heritage they bring better prices. I would avoid Prestine with this card not one of the big dogs of the Hobby. The only thing they are doing is paying KZfaq channels to promote them.

This is what happened in the late 90s card companies got greedy just like they are now they’re raising prices in two years. Cards will go back into a recession. There will be no one wanting cards. Cards will not be able to sell. You only have your hard-core collector still collecting and getting everything for dirt cheap I’m telling you right now you guys will be shocked but boxes of top chrome in two years that came out this year will be selling for way less than what they sold for, just saying I don’t care who’s in them it’s not gonna happen

I think Fanatics has their work cut out for them, when it comes to lowering some of the prices of their product. But I do like the concept, and idea of the event. I use to. Buy cards in the early 90s with my dad. Picked up the hobby again a few weeks ago and am only buying what I want to hold forever and don’t mind if I lose value on. Definitely avoiding breaks and paying way more than what the average sold prices go for.

Fanatics Fest was great today. The VIP tickets were a total scam though. Basically no benefits whatsoever.

All the puff of Fanatics, but it just strikes me as heavy corpo trying to monetize every aspect of this area of pop culture. Very sanitized with the required displays being all the same etc. Works fine during good times.
