Can these sorts of videos be done on a less intense scale with a DJI Mini 4?
@ljmproductions120 күн бұрын
To some degree, yes. Less intense, for sure. You can set up and choreograph a drone fly through or fly-over and get some cool shots. A Mini 4 really isn't designed for flying first person view, or going through tight gaps and that kind of thing, but you could get creative and create some cool shots even so. One thing you would of course have to watch out for is not having prop guards when flying close to people or through gaps and stuff. Thanks for watching and commenting!

@ljmproductions123 күн бұрын
Thanks for watching and commenting! The gimbal I am using is the RS3 Mini. It works fantastic with this camera! I do not know of a solution for recording to SSD as you describe. I see what you're saying; if you're using the USB port for the gimbal cable, you can't plug in the SSD. My solution (if SSD recording is required) would be to run the system without the cable to the camera. You lose some handy features, but it is totally usable.

Yup, Goose can be deep. And just as sketchy because of the side by sides from what I understand. Greenie is nice. With a Bronco, you'd have no issues, and it's just a fun trail to do that gets to a great view.

Hi, I was told that if using gimbal with IBIS On, the gimbal with override the sensor IBIS or crash. did you find this issue while shooting or did you find anything weird during the shot. Thanks
@ljmproductions13 ай бұрын
Hi DK! I have heard similar mixed reports about using a gimbal in concert with IBIS. However, in my experience with the Lumix S5II, I get the best results with the gimbal when I have IBIS turned on as well. Not E-stabilization, but the regular internal stabilization. (Using electronic stabilization may create more issues, I am not sure.) It could be because I am not an experienced gimbal user yet, but in my testing with camera stabilization off entirely, I was not able to get nearly as smooth a shot as with standard IBIS turned on in the camera while using the gimbal. I have not had any issues with conflict between the gimbal and IBIS, or anything crashing. Hope that helps!!

Did you have any clearance issues?? I see it's rated a 4 on OnX and wanted to take my Subaru up there
@ljmproductions13 ай бұрын
I will check with my brother and let you know for sure. What I recall was a few berms on Telluride side of the pass that were a little difficult in a stock, long wheelbase vehicle (not as much an issue in a Subaru?). And there were a couple of rocky bits on one of the switchbacks. Mostly though we didn't do any spotting though. And we were in the habit of doing a TON of spotting when the truck was stock, so I think it was very mild.
@enigmawyoming52013 ай бұрын
You MIGHT be ok, I drove it ONCE in a full size Ford Expedition. The problem is, you do not want to be in a situation where you have to deviate from hugging the uphill edge of the road because there is a rock bigger than you are comfortable driving over. I certainly would not recommend driving this road if you have any concerns about ground clearance. Would it work out for you? Probably.. but if it doesn’t you would be in a massive world of hurt.
@ljmproductions13 ай бұрын
I talked to my brother (who was driving when we were there) and he just mentioned the berms and some rocks. It wasn't very significant. But like Enigma said, it's a dangerous road, no two ways about it, so just be careful. We think your Subaru could do it though.
@enigmawyoming52013 ай бұрын
One great advantage of a Subaru is it isn’t as wide as a full size truck, so driving a narrow road would give more flexibility with the path you can take.

@@ljmproductions1 Hey! I was wondering, do I even need a gimbal now? Also the IBIS is already set on default right? Sorry I'm new owner of a s5ii
@ljmproductions12 ай бұрын
@@TherealestJediHey, no problem! Okay, so after the latest firmware update to the S5II, I would say there is a very strong case to be made that you may not need a gimbal with this camera. Certainly if money is tight, it's not a must. I'd say you should have a gimbal at some point just to have it in your bag, but this camera can capture very smooth footage without it, especially if you aren't running or doing anything super shaky, and (importantly) if it's not a problem to have it crop in significantly (which it does in ibis high mode). Okay, now as to the ibis being on by default, I believe the standard in body non-electronic stabilization is on by default. To check you can go to the menu while in video mode on the dial, and go: video settings - others (video) - image stabilizer - operation mode - and verify that it is set to normal. You can also turn on e-stabilization from here. I have the stabilization modes mapped to the dial buttons so I can quickly change settings. Hope that helps!
