Bad idea to be spilling that stuff and breathing the fumes. Shouldn't use it without positive ventilation...like staying up-wind/ outside at least.

Pressure gauge to read hydraulic force is handy to determine weather your in a bind when you are aware that pushing that bearing on should not require that many tons because of the air drive system you cannot feel the pumping pressure you had with a handle I find this very useful when doing delicate press operations where you might find your uncomfortable close to the action and would not enjoy a sudden change in direction oh and gauge should screw right into jack after removing a plug as far as I know every jack ever made has the port option for gauge hope it helps lol I’m doing 2002 Tj as part of my many adventures/projects list good luck on that as well might see you out on the trails someday

@EmbarkWithMark2 күн бұрын
I’m not against AGM. I run them in two of my other vehicles. People just need to be aware of what their vehicle is capable of charging be for “upgrading” to an AGM battery.

@@EmbarkWithMark Yeah except they're overpriced, unfixable, if they drain once they're dead, dubious quality as of recent... the whole thing is a scam.

My ‘03 Wrangler never reached 225. Even slow off roading in 100 degree heat it stayed right at or below the 210 mark. After leaving the trails that day and driving 2 hours back home, the original water pump failed once I was parked in the garage and all the coolant sprayed out the weep hole. So what did I do? I put a Mopar pump and radiator (it was showing cracks after 15+ years) back into it and still never reached 225. I’ve always heard guys talk about wranglers habitually overheating and I have a theory it’s because Jeeps are some of the most worked on vehicles by amateurs and hobbyists and you’re highly unlikely to find one that hasn’t been modified or altered to perform worse than factory
@EmbarkWithMark3 күн бұрын
I don't think it's just over worked. I think most, including myself at one point in time, didn't understand how good a lot of the factory parts are on these older wranglers. That and people not really maintaining them well, along with the extra abuse. My Jeep is now runs very well, only on days of 120+ does it run warmer than 210.
@CubNole3 күн бұрын
@@EmbarkWithMark Yeah I got lucky when I found mine. I’ve inspected a handful of wranglers for some people and I’m always shocked at the crap that’s been done to them. They unknowingly tarnish the name when they load the parts cannon up and fire

I have 2007 4runner, mounted my transmission cooler behind front bumper crash bar with homemade aluminum bracket and 3 heavy duty zipp ties. I wanted to have space between the cooler and radiator for more air flow. My original intention was set-up to pull a Casita 17ft. travel trailer. Also added a screen for rock and bug protection using gutter screen, edged it with rubber and Zipp tied in place.

Todays. Vehicles are putting a lot of loads on the battery , Start Stop especially , they cycle the battery twice has hard unless you can turn it off that’s why they use AGM which will recover twice has fast as flooded batteries and they last twice as long but in those applications you should see 3-5 yrs . Today 2024 there are two major MGF that are producing producing batteries in the United States they are Clarious former Johnson Controls and East Penn Family Owned in Pennsylvania since 1946 .

It's your vehicle that isn't designed to work with AGM battery. A good alternator and a good ECM programming to make it run efficiently with these new AGM battery will go a long way. Your vehicle is the weakest link with outdated parts and ECM that still runs on windows 95. AGM is like a quantum speed in efficiency. It can't process a deficiency code that are obsolete.
@EmbarkWithMark8 күн бұрын
Correct, vehicles need to supply the correct charging voltage to properly maintain an AGM. Pretty sure thats what I was getting at.

Right off the bat, you demonstrate a lack of skill and knowledge. I guess that's why You Tube is full of amateurs. It's much easier to MARK the spot for the hole and then drill instead of fighting with the gadget to be mounted. And since that's probably Fantastic Plastic... you run the risk of breaking the mounting hole...not a smart play.

When drilling into thin wall plastic I like to use a jobber (short) drill bit and small cutoff length of 1.5" board (2x2 or 2x4 works fine). You first drill a straight 90 degree hole in the wood so that just a 1/4" or so of the jobber bit sticks out. You can drill a small dimple exactly where you want the hole before using the wood. Then with the wood as a spacer drill your hole, because the wood won't let the bit grab and run up into the plastic you'll get a nice clean hole that won't need work afterwards. My 2 cent tip of the day.
@EmbarkWithMark9 күн бұрын
Great tip! I shall try this on my next can. Assuming I can get some wood through the mouth lol. Sounds like this trick works for most very thin material.
