My son and I ran it early August in our CJ 5 and 7. The temperature was 97, I see why you ran it in September. We only got to to the big drop and took freedom trail out. We had no problem getting there, but as we had never run it before and we’re heading back to Canada the next day we took the freedom trail which wasn’t to bad until the ledge at the end. This trail is very serious.

The air in those tires is older than some of them! Love it. Old jeeps doing what they do best. Bar far the best 4x4ing to watch IMHO

Nice to see Bam Bam back in action. Also saw your new frame rails on your build thread, they're looking sweet !! I like the round Willys style cross member (of course I'm going to whine about the receiver idea, as I'm a die hard pintle hitch guy)🙂 It's really cool to see both you and Stan are getting your Jeeps all fixed up and ready for the next round.
@jpetrowichАй бұрын
I’m agonizing about the receiver too but I’ve been in situations where I need a ball hitch. My idea was to have a pintle hook in the receiver. Maybe I can make the tube flush mount and put a plate on the pintle hook so it doesn’t look removable?
@timmcooper294Ай бұрын
@@jpetrowich That would be pretty awesome, actually keeping with the stealth program !! I like how stock your box tube frame contour is, just grind the welds flush in the high visibility areas and you will be quite stealthy, especially the way you make your pressed front bumper brackets. I've built about a dozen custom Land Rover frames this way and most people think they are original factory.👌 Man, I understand about agonizing on the details.... Keep up the great work on Bam Bam !

Bam Bam never sasses to amaze me, I had a 45 and it seemed go what ever way I pointed it. Like you I used 16" wheels they worked fine I am a firm believer that if you are in a Jeep it doesn't get much better that. Thanks for the ride Paul

Are you that good of a driver or does BAM BAM have magical powers? I watch all of your videos and i`ve never seen that jeep fail to conquer what ever is put in front of it .I get the feeling theres more to BAM BAM than meets the eye.

I had to laugh when X98 picked that rock up in the wheel well, I just ran Hell Hole trail (Near the Rubicon) this weekend and my buddy's Rover did the same thing. I've had it happen too, but I'm mystified by it always seems to be he right rear that does this. Hmmmm.
