Ekaterina dismantled Iga's entire game. Iga loves to rally & Ekaterina gave no opportunities to do exactly that. Plus, the power, precision & placement of her shots? Most of them were unplayable because the returns were faster than the serves themselves😂

Had nothing to do with the rules or anything that Nardi actually did. Djokovic was trying to create a fight in order to give himself something to fight against. He does this all the time. He argues with fans, umps, the people in his box, etc. It's how he fires himself up to win when his tennis is letting him down, and it's the cause of so many of his "own-goals." It has always made it hard for a lot of people to root for the guy.

It ment to be a drop shot from Nardi and it looked like it was not executed well by Nardi, but his intention was not to stop to trick Djokovic. Djokovic is 100% wrong here

Like in soccer, play until you hear the whistle. He’s too much of a pro to act like a baby. He was pissed off at something before the game started to put him in a bad mood.

I hoped, that this year WTA/ATP/ITF, would stop this nonsense of mixing sport with politics. Every player should have right to play under her/his country's flag. One cannot choose the country of one's birth. Appointing "flag police" at the AO 2023 was not even childish... it was embarrassing and insane... Wars are run by politicians not sportsmen/sportswomen. Why during the invasion of Iraq, 20 year bombing of Afghanistan, Syria, Yemen and Pakistan not to mention the genocidal Vietnam war US, Australian, UK... athletes were allowed to compete under their national flag? USA invaded Iraq in 2003 and yet their flag was still allowed at the World Cup 2006 in Germany and 2010 in South Africa despite the fact they were still in Iraq. Either ban ALL flags of countries who go to war, or don't ban any of them. Interestingly enough Israeli tennis players Mika Buchnik and Guy Sasson are allowed to play under the national flag in AO 2024 despite the policy of their government towards Palestinians in Gaza. *** All wars are equal, but some wars are more equal than others. Karma caught up with idiotic politicization of sport by self-righteous Western democracies. Three tennis players representing "authoritarian/ totalitarian regimes" - archenemies of so called collective West (America and it's geopolitical European vassals) play in the final of the lucrative sport. AO organisers and administrators and ATP/WTA bureaucrats dreaded that scenario. Now with the fake smiles and insincere congratulatory speeches they have to hand over the prestigious trophies and... fat cheques to the Russian and Chinese players.

Sports 101 from when we are kids is to keep playing till the whistle is blown. It’s as simple as that. This stuff happens in all sports, and it’s always on the guy that stops. Football/Basketball/Soccer, you don’t stop because another player stops because he thinks there was a foul. You stop when the ref blows the whistle.

Difference between then and now: Sinner: Pretty much same. Great running strokes. Can thwart attacks with attacks. One of the best. I think he's better at running strokes than Alcaraz in general. Better serves than Alcaraz'. Deals with Dimi's slices much better than Alcaraz. Somehow he can generate the pace against slices like no other. Yet he uses pretty much no slices. Dimitrov: Too many UFE's in Beijing. This time in FL, not much. Service has been more acute angled in FL than in China. Similar level of aggression but more control in FL. Should aim more in safe zone in no man's lane although he kept hitting the lines vs Alcaraz. Not sure if he can repeat it vs Sinner. He has shown in the past that he can be quite inconsistent. He's exactly same player in both but somehow he seems to have relaxed himself more. If he can keep the intensity up while being relaxed, he should be able to beat Sinner for sure. I feel like he is getting pretty close to being great.
