I think you should include it, especially if you were funded by a research Council

I would absolutely disagree with leaving a PhD on your CV when trying to seek employment in non-academic jobs...employers will only run a marathon when/if they see it and you simply won't be taken seriously...I've even had to remove my master's degree from my CV to gain employment and to be honest with you it has been worth it because I've been able to earn a living!
@user-ex2yt1pl6u Жыл бұрын
After a PhD, three master's degrees and a bachelor's degree, any employer that wants to run a marathon can continue running until their lungs collapse. I will not hide my achievements earned through blood and sweat because of someone's insecurity.

All the best Rachel Jones! Wonderful first vlog and fascinating links in your topic. I enjoyed listening to the telephone ☎️ bit 😊, I’m a second year PhD student too but in education and my topic is :The lived experiences of female Emirati Bedouin learners engaged in western discourse curriculum: an ethnographic case study.

1) Stay in school your entire life, 2) accept lousy salaries, 3) accept slave wages post doc position(s), 4) kiss ass....hard, 5) work 3x as hard for far less pay than your peers in other professions, 6) make yourself practically unemployable in your profession outside academia, 7) see (4) - repeat.

Never go to Germany for PhD. It is not the place for PhD. Most of the Professors in German Universities steal the work. Even after finishing of examination process, they do not issue certificates. So think 1000 times before you select this country. After 5-7 years of hard work, they do not give information on finishing of PhD. Foreigners avoid PhD program there. One can go for work but not for PhD. Never keep any data on Universitiy^s computer. It will be deleted at the end. It will be stolen. The emails even the gmails and yahoomails are deleted by them. Most of the Professors publication is actually the work of others. So beware of that private society. If you start living private life you will be continuously spied.

Hi Ajibua, we recommend you browse the jobs.ac.uk website (www.jobs.ac.uk) and narrow your search to the 'Sport and Leisure' category. You will then be able to filter your search down further based on the level of role you are looking for and location.

Do you think that HR departments are usually looking for skills weaknesses (public speaking, conference papers, running workshops) or character weaknesses (arrogance, laziness, feistiness)? It seems like it's a lot less damaging to admit to a lack of skill than a deficiency of character. But is it as illustrative to HR?

Great vlog Katherine! I have followed your vlogs so far and it's been useful. I'm a U.K. Open university ethnographic PHD student in education but am living and teaching in Abu Dhabi while I study. Would love to connect with other PHD students even though I'm at the beginning stages. 🙂I have a vlog too kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oZqfYNx2nKyqkZc.html
