Maldives seems like an excellent choice for a relaxed high-end vacation. If you would have picked Nicobar or Lakshadweep, you would have wasted 5 or more months simply waiting on the permission from the khaki taliban, a.k.a the local police and then become victim to an unplanned tour guide once you land there.
