Thanks, great video and hats off to anyone that takes a 900+ mile trip in a Slingshot! :)

or build a plane from old bike frames . or timber ..two by four frame or ...some way simpler construction just crude wood and plyplates as wings , in a strong simple way l guess not glue then ,maybe just test strenght of timbers by weight test in middle see if cracks , .. would it work for a few flies at least , fun vid for youtube safer to remote control with man weight sandbag in seat. or old plane wings on old car drive till lifts no propeller.uj

That Piper at 4:55 has a beautiful paint pattern. You should make a video explaining how to do such checker paint pattern on an airplane.

Thanks Malcolm. Great video. Very good mixture of the plane pics and video (interior and exterior), scenery and sights from the flight, narrative of stops and MAPS (the flight plan of your journey brought it altogether and makes the distance hit home). I think long distance flights of smaller aircraft is fascinating, and your video did an excellent job of showcasing that in a concise manner.

I just bought the plans from Kolb to build one of these. Can you reply here with your 2 blade prop diameter? I want to know how far the prop tip is from the ground when you are taxiing. Your paint looks great. Thanks

Nice vid. I’m retired aero engineer, and I recently designed and am building a microlight. I pretty much did the ribs the same; especially the nose piece, exactly the same! I’m a stickler for tight fits tho so I’m back and forth to the belt sander to get this pieces to fit snug. And I don’t use staple but individual weights being careful the gussets don’t “drift.” Great video, keep up the good work!

Is the seat adjustable without cutting and welding? There's enough room behind the pilot seat for more stuff than I'll ever want to carry. I am 5' !0-1/2" 200+ lbs. I picked up a sweet low hour Tornado 1 with a 2200 Jabiru 4 cylinder 4 stroke. I seam to have the widshiled hinge on my forehead . Is there anybody out there my size that found a way to use some of the baggage compartment space to fit more comfortably ?

plans are for sale from kolb aircraft, they can also provide prebuilt components and the welded fuselage cage

I had a Titan 2, what a blast! Sold it and bought a 172 with a great friend so we could legitimately get our pilots license…I flew the Titan as a Student pilot…45 hours and I loved every minute of it!

what did you use to reduce it with? i've heard some people using windshield washer fluid haha
@petrokemikal Жыл бұрын
Cant help but think a faring over the front of the engine would reduce drag significantly, I understand its air cooled, but with 2 naca ducts either side wouldn't be difficult to make up a fiberglass shroud, considering its experimental you can do as you please.. Awesome looking machine anyways.. !!

Not too many video on KZfaq about these it's unusual one of the few pusher kit build that isn't fabric covered. Titan is know lot more for the T-51 Mustang which I have wished I bought 10 years ago when they were lot cheaper wow have they gone up in price. I remember their website saying $45k for the kit now in only 10 years has gone up to 67k.

I Would be concerned about the loss of strength from kiln drying. Musical instrument wood is air dried. It takes longer but does not compromise the strength. I would expect it to be the same un marine applications as well as aircraft applications
