Expandable batons are legal in Colorado. I believe it's a great weapon instead of carrying a gun around town.

Great presentation! Thank you for a new and fun thing to do! I'm just discovering your videos - trying to overcome a pinched spinal nerve at C5 (or a statin side-effect depending on which Doctor's opinion), both shoulders feel like tendons failed - but hands are also weak and crampy. These may help. Tendons have very slowly improved since stopping statins 7 months ago. I swim also. My left hand balks at the counter-rotating overhand swing - I'm holding there until I get it smooth - what a challenge!

I have introduced 5 kg jo staff in my training 🤩... After 4 months of standard infinity spinning (no reverse spinning...I told it in another message here) with bo staff and spinning with two hands...I can manage 5 kg!! (pay attention: no single hand spinning making it rotating on the wrist...it would be to much weight...it could be hurting)...

It's impressive how you're able to perform strikes that look like they actually hit the target. This snappy motion at the very end indicates some serious power behind these strikes

This is not the Senseless Spin. The senseless spin is one spin behind back, one whip spin going outwards, and one foward spin

As a female I jog, usually with my dog, but I NEVER wear ear buds & always carry mini mace, siren clip & a lite weight box cutter in my hand. I am ALWAYS aware of my surroundings whether its parking lots or running, actually anywhere where I am a lone vunerable small female, A target of a scumbag attack, Doesnt matter, we have to ALWAYS r be aware & Defensive ALL the time. Thanks to Matts shows I have learned sooooo much- making direct eye contact , stand tall & be prepared to defend your self with upper body, practiced quick strength, the smallest wood stick, scissors, etc weapons can work!!! Thanks Matt!!!

At 67..I am a beginner at Bo Staff and Nunchucks. My staff, a Rattan 1 3/8 X I have to cut to length, and nunchucks are on the way. I watch your videos over and over visualizing while I wait. Your advice as you demonstrate mean a lot. My full face Hockey helmet and CUP are ready. :) TBC I am REALLY excited to add to the comments my first SELF INFLICTED wound. 😁 I remember starting out ice hockey. Falling, tripping up for no reason!!! right. Until finally I forgot about my feet. No more thinking about skating...just feel.

I enjoy your descriptions of those with, “no sense of purpose”, the thugs and predators. Usually with addiction and mental health issues, it’s amazing how the moral degradation of society is on the fast track to becoming like mad max. Better have your situational awareness at peak performance as you age because those predator pukes peg the old as prey.

I put cane tips on the ends of my old Aikido Jo, and use it as a walking stick. I prefer the upright posture that it encourages versus getting hunched over with a cane. For defense, I've only used it once, to ward off a charging dog - braced posture with the Jo planted between me and the dog, which halted, looked confused, and then retreated.

These moves are great for defense...these moves and the stick are also very lethal

This is bullshit. If you're that close to your opponent, you're not in danger, and you're the aggressor.

Thanks, simply great!...In 4 months with your bo staffs videos I have become a pro at the gym...I only have a problem with the reverse infinity spinning switching from one hand to the other...I am working on it. Thanks Thanks Thanks!!!! 😄
@pasquinilli4 күн бұрын
Wow. That’s fantastic. Thanks for sharing. Make sure when you do the reverse transfer, you turn before moving to the opposite side immediately after taking the staff in front of the hand that is holding it.
@federico-bi2w4 күн бұрын
@@pasquinilli Ok! I understand what you mean...I think I have a coordination problem only...in the case of the reverse spinning...it happens since it is (for me) less intuitive than the standard spinning...but...I will improve...and I ENSURE the spinning has helped a lot in an armonic muscle growth!!! 👍

Have your keys connected with a clip or small carabiner so you can remove them. Don't fight with your keys, you will need them. Keep them safe and separate from the weapon.
