“The keeper I THINK is my left foot.” When his solos reach a crescendo, it sounds like the bombing of Stalingrad. I saw him live in East London in a jazz club … as The Ginger Baker Trio. He performed Pressed Rat and Warthog. And….a Jazzy version of Sunshine. The point is .. to hear him perform live … was unlike anything I’d ever seen. Because the man could swing.

Just a passing thought by Bob Dylan, which contains the entire chorus, chord progression melody and exact key, became the number one hit for two major acts. Yeah, Bobby is a national treasure and prophet. He goes BEYOND genius.

thing about clapton, is that a lot of people now think he's not as good as people say, and certainly in his era where he was not as rock as cream he was derivative, but in the time where you played your guitar like you bled fire on stage no one can dispute how good he was

Eric Clapton could probably watch this video today and then pick up an electric guitar and play the same thing note for note and have it sound exactly the same.

Everything he knows is from Freddie King. Then he said let's keep Britain white/Caucasian. In 50 years he hasn't got any better, same old Freddie King riffs. Freddy's the King, Clapton 's a Dog. A German woman has been ordered to pay nearly $4,000 after attempting to sell Eric Clapton bootleg CD's on eBay, resulting in legal action from the guitarist. Gabriele P., 55, inherited the bootleg Eric Clapton - Live USA from her late husband's estate; he had purchased the CD decades earlier, around 1987.

It's crazy how you never saw Eric with a Les Paul Burst after this, but most people agree that the soring prices that original Bursts fetch is because of Eric Clapton. I'm not saying they're not fantastic guitars, but a lot, or most of it is purely psychological. Same thing with the Stradivarius violin. I'd wager that the modern Les Paul Historic reissues are just as good, or better than original ones. Maybe the original ones have that mojo factor, and maybe the wood has had 60 or so years to season, but most of it is psychological in my opinion.
