I don’t know anything about this, is varnish used over oil? Acrylic? What does it do? Does it protect the piece? Seal it? Add that nice gloss coat? Or all three? Like I’m so curious and I love art, I’d love to hear it straight from an artist and not Google. Google tends to have a very black and white, right and wrong take on art when I feel sometimes the rules aren’t so set in stone.

What is that? 39 seconds! I love Jeremy's work and I am a big fan. But I feel that Jeremy could be a bit more giving to artists who cannot afford to buy his dvd's.

I was an early student of yours in a drawing class at the California Art Institute. I miss those days painted maybe a thousand models at Buddy’s school. I still have a few of your corrections using that tracing method. I just bought your Rosemary brushes.

Jeremy were you painting before at the age of 20? When did you really start to study oil painting? I have read all of your bio's but there wasn't definitive answers. Your work and talent amazes me. I wish i had started earlier. Can you give me some advice? Im 21 and it feels too late even if i improve everyday.. I wonder when and how you become this good that fast.

I think he started drawing when he came out of his mother. A drawing machine. I took about 12 drawing classes with him . He was maybe 22?

@@patrickwelch3274 Do you have any source on this? I remember he said he was painting in garage when he was 4. But then he didn't much in highschool? And catched up later in college?

@@Dale_Blackburn I really don’t know his history. Around 2000 I took a drawing class from him. ( 12 classes)Not sure how old he was . I just remember his drawing techniques. The class was a figure drawing class. I was starting out . My first classes. The classes had models. He seemed organized. He drew in class. Used tracing paper to correct mistakes. I went on to doing monochromatic after for a year before doing oils. He was very shy back then.more into demonstrating than talking.

Just got video and if you’re a beginner not for you. Also annoying is the videographer shows the palette from a slant therefore casting a glare on the palette it should be shot from above the palette not from the side. Also Jeremy doesn’t explain his color mixing enough or why he uses them. No doubt he’s a master painter but this video isn’t not for the beginner

Lol!! Ack, the bugs I couldn’t take, light rain possibly, wind NF way. You guys have grit. I’ve just started Plein air painting and I lack grit 🤣 what a truly crazy hobby 😀
