Since everybody in the comments has the spectator sharingan, I will simply add that fencing clean and defending yourself is much more difficult in matches between a left and right handed fighter

I don't understand why people don't use the Krumphaw enough to snipe hands to counter an offense, rahter it be cut or thrust, you get evasive motion and at the same time you get to cut them.

I really dislike this. Its double kill by default and the winner is the one who can parry the most afterblows. Very ugly fencing.

These guys are excellent fighters. But I kind of don't like the Swordfish ruleset, where everybody goes for double hits and only accidental non-doubln hits score. - Yes with swordfish ruling the fights take longer, this gives more air time. But with counting double hits or maybe having hit points instead of points the opponents would fight more interesting. - Counting double hits could be exploited yes, by gaining advantage and then enforcing double hits. But I strongly believe a fighter should be somehow able to avoid being hit, so it's also the other ones fault to lose this way

You must always answer with a thrust timed with a parry at the same time, you block and thrust at the same time. You can counter with that way down to the foot, or wounding the hand of your opponent. Countering is what gives the victory allways, check out the 1.33 treatise of sword and shield/buckler, it works almost but not all for both, for all you HEMA practitioners.

This is eastern style that has been mastered in Poland for hundred years under the pressure of very skilful and agile eastern enemies of Poland. It's called cross cutting technique. The term "Germany" was used first time by the Rome (probably by Julius Ceasar) to name the Scythians/Slavian tribes, that was also called Goths/Visigoths. This term means "friends", "fiends to the Rome". Tribes that created Deutschland (known as "Germany"), Anglia and modern Franks came from Persia.

the problem with medieval wrestling is that the people who do it had most of the time a backround in judo or other type of wrestling, so at the end it doesn't look like medieval wrestling but like a judoka vs a freestylde wrestling

I cant remember this video, but I have seen some of them doing shoots on their knees, I dont think their is anny of that in the historical ones, some had a very judo style of doing things, I dont think that anny Europeen wrestling looked so much like judo. I dont talk about the techniques, but they way they do them. There is nothing wrong about it, but idk as much I love historical wrestling I rather look judo or freestyle wrestling competition.
