At 13:04 time mark as you approached the little roundabout my old school was on the left, brought back many memories. Did you know that Barnoldswick (known as Barlick to the locals) is the only town in the country that has 12 letters that doesn't repeat.

I'd get yourself another Map or SatNav. This video started in Twickenham, went to Teddington and finished in Bushy Park (Teddington end) At NO point did you get to Hampton. At one point you did pass 'Alan Turing house', but that isn't where he lived (78 High Street, Hampton Hill). PS. Hampton Court is not part of Hampton town and comes under Surrey.

Resident and former taxi driver in Warrington. Unusually quiet, was that filmed during covid? The town is usually gridlocked.

Brighton didn't become Brighton and Hove. Brighton and Hove became a city though.

The wooded area that you see directly in front at 13:30 into the video is Aitken Wood. There is a Sculpture Trail that takes around 20 minutes to walk around. It's completely free all year round. It has a lot of history about the Pendle Witches. There is nowhere to park at Aitken Wood. The best place to park is the car park in Barley. Only takes around 20 minutes to walk from there via a lane which is sign posted and also leads to Black Moss Reservoirs. As you left Downham for a few miles then came to the cross roads which intersects Barley Lane you just need to turn right to head down into barley. You went straight across which has no other road that leads to barley. On the return back to Barley, there you can always grab something to eat and drink at the Cabin at the Car Park or pop into the pub Barley Mow which is also a B&B. I highly recommend the food. They have a cosey fire you can eat by in those cold winter months. Slightly further down the lane closer to the car park is also Pendle Inn where you can also grab something to eat.

I’m from Blackburn and to be honest the standard of driving in my town is appalling. I’m an ex driving instructor as well. The amount of accidents on Barbara Castle way has caused cameras to be placed at all junctions controlled by traffic lights. The road that goes from eanam to burnley rd has the highest occasions of fines dispensed for traffic offences outside London. That is a fact. The post area code BB1 is one of the highest in the country when it comes to insurance quotes. That is also a fact.

Great to see my old stomping grounds. I was born in Blackburn, went to school in Whalley and spent most of my teenage years in or around the Ribble valley. These are the roads that I learnt to drive on in the 1980's, so a fascinating trip back for me. The bit from the bottom of Shear Brow to Eanam is unfamiliar, but the rest has barely changed. Thanks for this video.

Ten years makes a big difference. I lived in Blackburn and learned to drive in the '70s, often going to my uncle's farm near Clitheroe. Although a lot of this is familiar, in my time the only motorway was the M6, the Clitheroe bypass hadn't been built, and there were no dual carriageways in the town centre. So actually as lot of this feels very unfamiliar. I still miss the place.

My local resident's account was renewed TWICE and they happily took the money TWICE and I had another £10 in my account which I put in there because i tried to re validate my card. They took another £4 out of my account, claiming that my account was not approved. 127 people ahead of me in the queue on the phone. The woman who tried to sort it out last time on the phone was from Leeds. So local people get highway robbed by people whp do not live locally. This is more than scandalous!!! I want my money back!
